  1. My latest acquisition. I’ll get it in the registry once I get the interior emptied. It’s an 88 Pioneer, 4.0, 5 speed (AX-15 swapped in), D30 and D35, looks to have a 3 inch lift. The only rust that I’ve found on the truck is in the floors. It needs front fenders, which I have, a header panel, which I have, and doors, one of which I will need to source. It came with most of the needed parts to swap to a grey interior from a tan one (not sure I will), grey MJ bucket seats, and of course, a sportbar, which will find its way into the my blue truck, and a bunch of misc parts. What’s the plan for the truck? I do not know, as of now, the first step is to make it fun and drive, then I will probably start replacing the damaged body panels. This truck is honestly nicer than my blue truck was when I first got it, but pictures make it look nicer than it really is.
  2. Looks like it to me! Now stop drooling.
  3. Here are a few pics of what my room looks like with the newest addition.
  4. I picked it up an hour and a half from home. And another MJ came home too. Christmas did come early. I suppose I can tell the story. So I’m just scrolling through the Facebook and I see a post on the All Things Jeep Comanche Facebook page. The ad said something song the lines of NOS Jeep Comanche tailgate in box. $550 in Southern MN. So, I figure, what the heck, I’ll send the lady a message. Turns out she’s an hour and a half away from home. This lady tells me that she has a Comanche for sale too. Ugh, I don’t really need a project, but I ask for details anyways. It’s an 88 with a sportbar and a rust free bed for $1,000. So I decided to go look at them. And I brought them home.
  5. Yes it is! I think my mom found it on Etsy or something.
  6. This is what I am leaning toward at this point. This one is definitely not getting restored by me, at least not anytime soon.
  7. Yes I do! The shop is phasing our their tubing bending though. The owner is old and in poor health.
  8. I am going to try to avoid parting this truck out. It really has too much potential to cut up. The first step is going to be to make it run and drive.
  9. Sounds good. I will see what I can do! It won’t be until after I get the blue truck running though.
  10. Pete will move this thread to one of the different sections. Welcome to the club, you will get the hang of it soon.
  11. That might still happen. I’m still coming up with a plan. This is what I’m hoping I can afford to do. You do make a good point. The plan is see if we can make it run and drive. If I can get it driveable, I will either drive or or maybe sell it, as it is a good truck I’d feel bad about parting out.
  12. The fenders are punished in from an accident and the door got hit, so the door doesn’t seal right anymore. If I fix the doors, I’m going to put nicer fenders on it (which I have), then I would have a hard time stopping, but it’s also a GA truck and is really nice, aside from the floors. I’d have a difficult time driving it in the snow. Still not sure what I’m going to do with it yet.

    Read em and weep.

Someday I will have an NOS collection like yours! That’s the goal at least.
  14. Well I got it! And a bunch of other parts, but I did pay more than the asking price so I could get a bunch more parts.
  15. Am I one of the cool kids now? It is hanging in my bedroom. This was posted on the ATJC page for sale. It was 1.5 hours from me, so I jumped on it. I also bought an MJ with a rust free bed and sportbar from the people. I’m not trying to come off condescending in the title, I’m just excited. I’m pretty sure @88mjsally and @Strokermjcomanche were tagged in the post and PMed the lady, sorry guys!
  16. I have mixed feelings on parting it out. Still not really sure what the plan is. It needs pretty much everything. The fenders are damaged, the doors are both damaged, it needs a clutch the PO said, it doesn’t have a tailgate, it needs floors, the odometer says it has nearly 320k on it, but it looks like a fixable truck, I don’t really know yet. I might fix the floors, make it driveable and sell it too, which I would feel a bit better about, but I need to look at it more before I make any big decisions.
  17. It was a Georgia truck. Still not sure if I’m going to part it out or not.
  18. Yes I can. I will at least try to make plans for the main hoop. Not sure how yet. I’ll probably need to start be tracing it and going from there.
  19. Here is a picture of me.
  20. I got it! Sadly, it’s likely just going to be a parts truck. I got a bunch of parts too. I did pay more than I planned too though. I actually paid higher than the asking price, but I’ll show you why when I get home.
  21. To get a 2nd Comanche. Will update you after I get it!
  22. It really depends on your definition of decent. Adding 4 hole injectors and a bored throttle body will up you power for around $200, but they won’t compare to a stroker.
