89 MJ

Well I got it! And a bunch of other parts, but I did pay more than the asking price so I could get a bunch more parts.

Am I one of the cool kids now? It is hanging in my bedroom. This was posted on the ATJC page for sale. It was 1.5 hours from me, so I jumped on it. I also bought an MJ with a rust free bed and sportbar from the people. I’m not trying to come off condescending in the title, I’m just excited. I’m pretty sure @88mjsally and @Strokermjcomanche were tagged in the post and PMed the lady, sorry guys!

I have mixed feelings on parting it out. Still not really sure what the plan is. It needs pretty much everything. The fenders are damaged, the doors are both damaged, it needs a clutch the PO said, it doesn’t have a tailgate, it needs floors, the odometer says it has nearly 320k on it, but it looks like a fixable truck, I don’t really know yet. I might fix the floors, make it driveable and sell it too, which I would feel a bit better about, but I need to look at it more before I make any big decisions.

It was a Georgia truck. Still not sure if I’m going to part it out or not.

Yes I can. I will at least try to make plans for the main hoop. Not sure how yet. I’ll probably need to start be tracing it and going from there.

It really depends on your definition of decent. Adding 4 hole injectors and a bored throttle body will up you power for around $200, but they won’t compare to a stroker.

My little bro could probably be convinced to sell his yellow J10. He wants to build the Orange truck into an off-road rig but doesn’t have the funds. And I might be winding up with a rust free SWB bed today.

It didn’t take me that long to figure it out at first, but that could be because I’m of the technology area (sadly).

I like the interior. The color contrasts well with the blue.

It does look pretty decent, but I think that is all the money for that truck. The pictures do leave a little to be desired, the front air dam was originally red. The front bumper doesn’t match the rest of the black trim on the truck which leads me to believe this truck has been painted. The interior looks pretty dirty. The front bumper looks like it is bent, and the engine bay is absolutely filthy. It’s not that hard to spray some degreaser and give it a quick wash. Hey, @Minuit, is there anything else that jumps out at you?

Bomber hats are the best. Is that a Carhartt coat? I love my Carhartt, or Farmer Gucci as my mom calls it.

Especially a Hunter Green one.

Weird that they weren't offered, considering you could get them for the MJ.

I'm thinking it might have some valuable power parts (seats, maybe power passenger seat?)

Hey, @eaglescout526, these running boards would look pretty sweet on Chunk and match LR.

Poor XJ Waggy. I would guess that the mirrors and exterior door handles are worth pulling. What rear end did it have? That would be worth pulling if its a D44. @eaglescout526, could you get a build sheet on this?
