  1. When you reach 10 posts, the classifieds will open up to you. Posting a location will also help you sell it.
  2. @70barracuda, @Limeyjeeper, @USN_JeepMJ are 3 LS swap guys
  3. Yessir! It was really cool to be able to drive such a sought after car. Thank you!
  4. New front brakes are here and parts for the regear are on their way.
  5. I bought a parts tractor H14XL (hydrostatic instead of a manual) to pull the motor to rebuild since the G14XL smokes a little. I may not make it a parts tractor though. It might become a little hot rod.
  6. Another change. Chrome front bumper. I also had my senior prom the other night, and got to take a pretty cool car.

I drove it all through HS but never did the conversion. After getting stuck in a foot of snow one winter I decided I needed 4wd and ended up getting rid of it in favor of a XJ followed by a ZJ. That was over 20 years ago. Last time I saw that Jeep driving around my home town, it still had 4x4 badges all these years later. Now I’ve owned 15 or so Jeeps and decided it was time to go back to where it all started! CC is Awesome! Why? Comanche Club is an excellent resource for information and I don’t think I could have done this project without referencing previous LS swap write-ups! This is a fantastic looking truck. You earned this, @USN_JeepMJ. I really like the color. It's unusual, but turned out fantastic.
  8. Darn. Couldn’t remember the Plymouth name off of the top of my head. All I could think was Duster, but I knew that wasn’t it.
  9. For what it really is, I honestly think that was a fair buy. The truck would be hard to use as a truck anymore and wouldn’t be a terribly quick rig around a track, so it isn’t terribly useable. I think it would be an absolute blast to drive at an auto cross style event, but I don’t think it would be really useable for much else. It does have the fact that it is a part of Jeep racing history going for it though, and if I would’ve had the money, I would have bought it.

Another red one with flare issues I see. Who would have thought that it would be this hard for you to find some Colorado red flares
  11. If I were you, I’d do the headgasket, intake and exhaust manifold gasket, valve cover gasket, and maybe to plugs and wires while you have it that far apart.
  12. I’m thinking @TheJeepNut might be a pretty good bet for this.
  13. About 700 pounds worth of new to me garden tractor. I did adjust it so it would fit with the tailgate up. It wouldn’t have fit in a new half ton with the 5.75’ bed, and certainly not a new light duty short bed pickup. The Comanche was sitting level with it too.
  14. Is it normally a good show?
  15. This should be a pretty cool even for all of the ALC fans on here. I’m hoping to have the MJ and Eagle there. My brother wants to get his J10 there. Original87 I see is also hoping to be there. Is anyone else here planning on going? I did run it past the coordinators of the show, Comanches will be allowed, even though most were Chrysler era. Link to the show in the planning area:
  16. If I were you, I’d buy a bored Renix throttle body and a high altitude crankshaft position sensor. Both of those woke my truck up quite a bit.
  17. Not much new here. Got the picture taken for the yearbook today. This rig is back on daily duty since the Eagle needs more work.
  18. The rear end started making noise. It sounds like the right rear wheel bearing. I’m also experiencing an odd noise from the front end, so it’s time for gearing upgrades. I’m going with 3.55s and I’ll be running an 8.25 out back. I was hoping to find a D44, but the 8.25s are more plentiful for cheaper.
  19. New ones are about $60 from Rock Auto. I’d save the hassle of finding out it needs resurfacing/replacing after assembly and just buy a new one. But I also have a tendency to replace more parts than I need to because I don’t want to have to do the job again for a very long time.
  20. Red. That is the iconic Comanche Chief look.
  21. We are aware of that, we just need somewhere that they can be warm, dry, and out of the way. Our shed won’t have room for them.
  22. To make a long story short, my Comanche, Eagle, and garden tractors are going to be stored in a shipping container up in WI while I am in AZ for college. Ideally, they will only spend one year in WI. Anyways, has anyone had any good/bad experiences with shipping container companies for buying a shipping container? Either companies that are good or companies to stay away from are appreciated.
  23. Drop it in the registry here on CC and @eaglescout526 will get you a build sheet. He may be able to move it over for you too. It won’t be perfect, but it’ll be pretty accurate.
  24. If you are running traction bars, you should be fine pulling a leaf. That’s probably what I’d do if I were in your situation.
