Well lets think about it a second. Sometimes sitting and looking at the engine bay helps(with me at least). So how does she run? Idle? Under load? If everything is smooth and as it should be like she left the factory and just trying to start up again is a drag, I would look at the coil. Buy a cheap one and throw it in there and give a whirl. If it solves your hot start then you got it. If not then you are back to a sensor problem like you are saying.

Ok, after a couple years of perusing the forum in my boredom I came across a post. Some one said that the coil with age is prone to getting hot and causing start issues. How old is the coil? Is it the factory one?

Anytime I have something done to my truck here at work which is very rare, all the techs usually surround LR and talk about history with the Comanche. One of the techs here owned an eliminator with 2.5L 4x4 Colorado red and he said he loved that truck. He regrets getting rid of it. He even mentioned the infamous drivers side door sag and gave me hell of a tip on how to fix that issue without taking anything apart.

Another member who I have yet to meet on here told me to get on Comanche club after he saw I was pulled to the side of the freeway finding out what the hell happened. He was a nice guy, had a short bed with a canvas bed cover. I believe it was blue with a 4.0. Recently out of spite there was a AZ 4x4 club meet at this ice cream shop. So I went with my girlfriend and sister and found this out. So I quickly drove us home and I hopped in LR and went to the ice cream place and my sister and girl followed behind. Course it was all JK guys but I liked being the only real Jeep at that meet. Otherwise LR has lived a boring life in my hands. Other than driving three hours to Heber.

Well I took all the light grey interior pieces out today and gave them a refresh on paint. Damn. That's how good it looks. Even painted the euramtec light bezels too to match. Now I just need the other color to do the lower dash bezel and center console. Also got the windows tinted. No longer have factory tint. It does help with cooling off the inside of the cab. Before After (I know, it may look funny but I had the panel in a different spot. I blame the lighting and my color blindness) It definitely looks new inside.

The two bottom bushings look like the things you’d find on hangers are a department store. The top one looks like a bushing for the clutch or brake pedal bolts.

Mine looks exactly like the back of his except the fuel gauge is moved and is replaced with three screws straight across for the tach. It’s just a really rare piece. I’ve seen a few and mine was plug and play for it. Nothing was modded. Came from the factory. It’s known as type one. The one that we all know I associate with the 4.0 ore the type two that looks more modern is what we commonly find because everyone and their mother had an XJ with 4.0 w/ AW4

So far so cold with AC. Driving home is much more bearable now. Next is to refresh the interior panels with new coat of paint. Then I shall start a new project so I can get Little Red painted and be done with the restoration. Hint, New project(hopefully) is the epitome of 70's luxury and is Mopar.

I'll admit. Those are the glory days of Chrysler packaging though.

They probably buy out old inventory from dealers and turn around and sell them to people who are looking for them and wouldn’t know and wiser
