Check the starter solenoid under the relay center on the passenger side fender. Check for corrosion and such. Check the CPS too for the proper AC voltage.

No...I won't know till I talk to him about it on Tuesday. I am not counting on anything at all. Just mere speculation and day dreaming at the moment.

Lol I wish the tester worked like that. But you unplug the regulator(yellow box) and plug in the tester to the harness to test all inputs are receiving power that will be shown when an LED lights up on the cartridge. Its a lot easier than using a test light on the harness connector. But that being said, if I get it I can loan it out. Just can't believe one was so close to me.

I have some exciting news about this rare tester! So I was talking with an apprentice tech about a fob battery. I ask which package it came in and he opens a drawer to show me which package and lo and behold! The AM-PC-1 tester is sitting in tech's drawer. When the tech returns I plan to ask him about it. But I wanted to share with you guys as I find this very exciting. Once I learn more I will update you all but this is exciting. Proof!

I would tell you Mopar but they are now a vintage part but they can still be ordered form the dealer. ZJ steering linkage is a good upgrade for the steering or you can go Moog which is pretty good. Some say crown are bad parts but I haven't had a part from them yet.

Lets not touch a ZJ. I think it would be easier for you and I to get a damaged 96 XJ and harvest a good clean harness to start from scratch. Or there is that 89 Renix at AMC salvage we could do. Less problems

Mine is a pretty good example of a stock MJ. I can tell you exactly what was on her when I got her(and how she left the factory) and what stock options have been added. I must say that what I have added is probably above a Pioneer trim level by now.
