First. What year is your MJ? 87-90 used really crappy ford sockets that have the worst ground tab in the world that has probably rusted out by now causing your indicators on the cluster to illuminate as they indicate a ground fault in the circuit. As for the flashing marker lights, if I recall correctly, the ground for that light to flash is shared somewhere in the turn signal circuit and I think it uses the filament for the flash as a ground until the flash turns on and thus the marker shuts off and turns on opposite to the turn signal.

I think you can also get new ones too. 87-90 are made by Bendix and we’re common place in GMs and Fords of the same era. That should widen your search more.

Grounds grounds grounds. Make sure they’re all clean and new ones added and old ones replaced if needed.

I had to refresh myself today cause it’s been so long haha. But I agree, the only aftermarket is for GMs and look wildly different. Crown might make it too.

I think it has to do with how fluid in the housing locks up at what temps and how soon it fully locks and how much faster one will spin. I did some research earlier and found some for CJs and SJs but not many give a lot of specs.

I’ve always had fitment and sealing issues with the full manifold gasket. Chrysler used the one piece for the intake manifold until 2001 when they stopped making the engine. I don’t recommend the full ones but, you already have them. Which ever one will fit best and work without any issue, run it. Neither surface makes a difference.

Is there one? I feel like there has to be something out there in both rotations for the 2.5L. I am curious if it works better out here in the heat for cooling. Just looking to help the condensers out, not really having any cooling issues.

Yeah this sounds very familiar. Fuel pump comes to my mind as well since I went through this twice on my 84 XJ.

Yup! Thats correct. Across the pond they got some other TD after the Renault was discontinued in the engine options, I forget who makes it but some XJ guys will import those.
