You can't. At one point it was probably an old AMC code or a recycled Chrysler that no longer has its original meaning to our trucks. I would say transmission cooler but there should be a code for that somewhere.

Has anyone tried to do anything with steel cable? I want to try to reproduce the Renix cruise control servo cable clips. But this would mean I need to either figure out how to dismantle the original cables or make new ones. And making new ones would probably be a better idea than trying to remove those crimps on the ends.

What 89 said. But the SoCal you want to mention is SoCalmanche. Not sure who that other one is or if they are even on here much. -

I guess swapping in a 4.2L is an option but you might as well just leave the 4.0L and drop in 4.2L guts to make a stroker. I just saw its an 86, the fact the PO dropped in the 4.2L is pretty good. Probably was literally plug and play with the 2.8L harness and set up

Vibrations. When and where.
eaglescout526 replied to eaglescout526's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I updated what I have replaced as I remembered I had a new drive shaft built a couple years ago. I have thought about a bent wheel but the techs would've picked that up the couple times they have replaced my tires with the road force machine. Now when you say shift sides to hear for noise or vibes, do you mean with the windows down and everything off during a turn? -
Alright, I know vibes usually come up probably once every few months and I myself am tired of hunting them down. I am aiming to create a master list of where the vibrations are/can appear and when. So far I have replaced EVERY rubber bushing from the steering linkage to the gutting XJ shackles for the bushings for the MJ shackles. And I did have a new drive shaft built. I can mostly feel the vibrations in the front now, not so much the rear as I suspect that's the passenger side leaf pack being a bit aged. Common things to check: Control arms Steering parts Leaf spring bushings Shackle bushings Coil spring isolators Transmission mount Motor mounts Wheel Balance Leaf packs Coil springs Drive shafts and their U-joints Honestly I can not think of any other places. The only places that keep popping into mind(for my vibrations) are the front wheel bearings for possible warpage/bent, coil springs and rear leaf. I have replaced a leaf pack due to one leaf being broken in the pack and noticed a better ride and support. Coils are up next on my to do list and quite possibly replace the other leaf pack. But I would like to hear from you guys on what you repaired and noticed a difference in ride and less vibrations.

Yeah we need to meet up. Summer was pretty killer even with AC.

I have been watching his channel for a while cause he gets some neat cars aside from his micro car addiction. But lately he has had something I have been very curious to see show up on his channel but hasnt. His latest video shows what is an MJ on his lot and my curiosity has been piqued about it for quite some time. He recently had a willy's wagon in his shop.

Interested in mine for parts? I only bought them cause I couldn't find another M 750 lens for chunk until a week after I bought the set. The retainers are in fine shape and just need a slight de-rust.
-
Damn. That took a while. I know the housings for mine are kinda gone and the reflectors can be saved. I tried using a parts sears fog lamp and despite the housing being very very close, the screw holes for the retainer do not line up.

Welcome to my world. Trying to do the same. Rusted Out Lights.

87 MJ WindShield washer Nozzel replacement
eaglescout526 replied to Top C's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
No there isn’t a difference in size. Be careful as they are prone to snapping at the tube connection. Did you check the condition of the T connection for your wipers? Mine failed and caused very very weak spray. Almost no spray really. -
82200663 is the number. It’s not that it doesn’t seem to exist it’s more of the demand for the part. If the demand wasn’t there, there wasn’t a need to make a lot.

eaglescout526 replied to Top C's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
^X5. The damnedest thing is they made the same nozzle until 2001 yet there arent any left. But the cowl panel(still produced today) and the screen(vintage) are still around. -
Been there done that. Ive scoured every accessory part from 82200001-82201000. Even looked at the number listed and theres none out there.

Mine is also one of the aftermarket pieces. I wish it was the OEM one. Would look sooo much better.

Oh damn. 5 months ago. Did you solve your issue?
