  1. Minuit is right on the spot in terms of getting into the MJ world in 2002. I see a lot of parts that were discontinued before 2006. A lot of Renix or MJ specific were discontinued by 2001. Part of me deeply wishes Chrysler would sit down and seriously consider legacy support for our trucks(and other Jeeps alike) much like how vintage Mercers get from Mercedes. I mean Chrysler still has a company who makes SJ tail lamp lenses and the SJ ceased production in 1991.
  2. Yeah I have an 88 Pioneer that was pretty base aside from having a stereo system and power steering. So it could be had either way. I know the later Jeeps like the WJ have the Laredo as a lower package because theres the Overland trim that was the highest in its time and a few others for it. Thank ya!

  4. Pioneer was an interesting one. You could get a pioneer with everything or nothing. Which makes sense because it would make you a pioneer in customizing your Jeep the way you want it. Laredo is being low is new to me so I have nothing in that.
  5. That’s the correct part number. Kinda a pretty penny for one too.
  6. Want to get a MoPar IAC and be done with that sensor for a while?
  7. It’s officially cool enough to throw the bed cover back on. Woo!
  8. Damn that’s nice to see. Winch probably didn’t.
  9. I love how it’s lifted but the wheel size hasn’t changed.
  10. Entirely possible. I know when I pulled my box the AZ heat took its toll on it and some if not all the foam disintegrated to the touch. I wish I had a more solid answer than just possible causes.
  11. I will have it to you this afternoon if someone doesn’t get it for you. Me, JMO or jdog.
  12. I’m doing my best to build mine how I would’ve ordered it. Might have gone with 4 wheel drive but still on the fence about it.
  13. According to the body code chart, yes. I need to find a Laredo and see if it bears the H portion of the code. But I could’ve swore the Chief was advertised as the higher trim and then Chrysler knocked the chief out from being an option and Laredo became the highest.
  14. Chiefs are the highest trim you could get between 87-89 or 90? They are by far not common to stumble upon.

  16. VIN tag on the door won’t have that. The firewall tag will. Since it’s an 86 that tag might be up on the radiator support.
  17. The build sheet might say but the VIN plate on the firewall has the interior code on it. I’m not home at the moment but will get a build sheet if someone doesn’t beat me to it.
  18. Wasn’t really a mod, but more so custom work. What I noticed when using my heat in the winter was that the heat would blow out the bottom floor vents and they wouldn’t really get heat anywhere near you unless you used the vent mode which still didn’t help me a lot. But my half a console with the bench seat has the XJ duct work and lower dash vent and I have the heat coming up and under the console and it felt fantastic.
  19. Those bumpers can easily be straightened with some heat and BFH especially chrome ones.
  20. I just ran my heat this evening, AC off, heat all the way on both sliders. Got pretty damn warm and with that half a console vent, holy crap that was a fantastic custom mod. Really helped with the heat.
  21. I have the same issue and I think it just comes with having AC. I used to have really powerful heat but since having AC it kinda lost its power and i don't know why.
  22. I’ve kinda got the Erwin Rommel thing going on.

Let me know if you guys come across any 59-60 T-bird parts. We have a PM going on this.
  25. I don't know what consequences there could be if I made that cable shorter other than it may not reach the throttle linkage. I also have some of the early 2.8L ones that I want to replace with the newer Renix style clips and give them longer cables as they are pretty damn short and mounting a 2.8L servo to reach say the 4.0L mount and the 2.5L mount can make some areas cramped. If thats the name of that crimp thing then I will look into it!
