  1. What do your neighbors think with all those MJs around?
  2. From driving chunk on the busy WA free way for a few hours, I will say an XJ is comfortable to drive. It’s a little more comfortable than an MJ but my MJ could also need a little more TLC in some places. As far as a two door XJ. You’re pretty much getting an XJ but with 2 long doors.
  3. They’re not terrible, I thought about getting them reupholstered.
  4. I need an AMC|Jeep watch now
  5. I think I bought my long bed one for that price.

  7. This is on an old Toyota truck that sat at the Toyota dealer next door for quite sometimes.
  8. Lol it might for some of the parts we can still get like front fender liners and Renix era lock cylinders.
  9. Heh. See when everything goes on back order and suppliers jump ship every time Chrysler does something big like this merger, it’s hell and a dumpster fire from the parts and service department view.
  10. Meanwhile, Mitt Romney and his family as just sitting back watching the dumpster fire.
  11. Personally I don’t have any recommendations aside from OEM. I thought about trying quadratecs in house mirrors but didn’t.
  12. All aftermarket mirrors are crap. Mostly because they aren’t threaded and when you thread them yourself, the bolts will spin the threads and not tighten the mirror down to the body. OEM is recommended for mirrors for that reason.
  13. Oh man lol. Walter Chrysler turned over in his grave like a gas station hot dog.
  14. There’s one down the street from me. I thought about talking to the guy but he probably doesn’t like me after staring at him as he was suspiciously driving his van slowly past my house(would do this several times too). Didn’t know he owned the van as well as the JT. Oh well.
  15. What a poser!
  16. I might have a set of grey visors.
  17. 91 and 92 are HO years which would make the gauge read backwards in our trucks. 86-90 is Renix.
  18. Oooooo going fancy? Actually despite power antenna being a funny gimmick, I do miss it on modern day cars. Stupid stubby antennas.
  19. Actually I don't have a rear set of MJ brackets. I mean I have NOS ones installed on my truck I can get some pics of if thats what you would like.
  20. Unfortunately you can't just get the sheaths for those. They come with the buckles. And there arent any more MJ bench buckles left as NOS.
  21. Yeah, I saw the other post on the fuse but wanted to reiterate that before getting into the fun stuff of figuring out the issue.
  22. Ok I see what you were trying to do. The gauge will always return to empty if it’s not getting a signal from the sending unit. Have you checked the fuse that’s for the cluster? Verified the gauge is getting power?
  23. But he’s swapping downward Eagle, what he got is an AX5 from a TJ that has the electric speedo vs his MJ mechanical cable. But the same principal applies, look at the orientation from how the speedo gear is removed from the AX4 and match that when you put it in the 5.
  24. Aftermarket brackets also don't have the extension holes for the hidden winch.
  25. You need to swap out the speedo gear assembly from your AX4 into the 5. Unless you go to swap in anything newer than 91 into your truck, you will have to stay with mechanical speedo. Theres nothing wrong with some old fashioned analog technology. The digital ones are a more tricky to work with anyways and costly as you have to replace the speed sensor if that fails. To where as if a cable fails, then thats all you have to replace.
