I’ve gotten rubber line that slips over the old lines. Never had a problem.

I mean you’re not wrong but I also haven’t really noticed or taken mine out to clean it. I personally love mine.

It’s possible that the hard line from the vac ball to the controller got hard and broke in a spot where you won’t know that it broke. I mean it is 30 year old vacuum line after all.

Heh, actually I might’ve done that myself. I had it rigged to power on one day just because it sat in an XJ for god who knows how long at AMC and I had it all set to go and it wouldn’t display the time. Just a dot. So I went to probing to find the resistor that doesn’t have power. I found it and jumped it for a second and kinda scoured the board a little. But the VFD is fine.

Need OEM part numbers? Usually that helps cross reference stuff.

As soon as I get my garage door replaced I actually have plans to start tearing him down. Since AMC closed I won’t be able to get rust free floor boards which blows but such is life. But it’s gonna be fun. Got the girl excited to refresh the interior, NOS parts to be installed, Renix TBI to swap in and much more. I should probably work on little red in my off time before this project goes underway.

I was asked a good question by a member and I was asked if the under hood retractable lamp could be repaired. I swear I vaguely recall seeing and reading a post about it from some time ago. Am I imagining this post or was/is it real? If not, has anyone attempted to repair these lights?

I think I may have found that back piece that’s an L-shape at AMC for the last time today. I say I think as I remember finding it but I don’t recall loading it up. I’ll find out this evening.

Man. Time has flown with Little Red. I seriously remember like it was yesterday that it was just January and I had brought her home to be just a daily driver only to find out I dove into an unwarranted addiction lol. But seriously it’s still fun.

It actually isn’t. I approached Pete about doing such years ago. We started with just the build date and body code. Then we moved to include build sheets for everyone despite the lack of info for the AMC owned MJs and finally we added where your MJ was sold. Providing such to everyone just aids in the addiction and keeps others coming back.
