There’s two types of the temp and oil sensors. One is a sensor that is for the gauges and the other is a sender for the light.

I bet you anything it might have the gauge sensor instead of the one for the light.

Console is in. Chime now works on the seat belt. Now I need to get weatherstrip for the windows.

Lets see, what did I get done today. Floors are painted check!(pill capsules are for screws so I don't lose them, not actual medicine) shift gate has been changed for the 228/9 t-case. Vinyl floor has been put back in. Seats have been put back in and tested to make sure they still work. Seat belt buckles are in. Drivers side not chiming, looking into that. Lots have been done today!

86manche is right. The diesel wasn’t a hot seller back in the day but was an option for folks who wanted good mileage, pass cali emissions easily and good towing. There’s a reason why the engine went away in 87. If anything it is a reliable diesel. It’s just hard to get parts for because not many were made or sold. It was sold extensively in Europe to other car manufactures.

Got the drivers side head back today. I asked the shop owner if it was the same one haha. Also got a new printed circuit in today. Tested it to make sure everything works….and I goofed up. I touched the ground circuit while testing the lamps on the cluster and it melted a small section of the circuit. Well I know basic soldering and it does the job right now. Can’t believe I made that mistake. I might make a failsafe wire to go from the ground point to another ground on the cluster to ensure my solder doesn’t fail.

Just a small update but I test out the auto leveling system tonight since I finally finished making the wiring harness. It works as it should! The sensor senses when the vehicle is too low and when it’s where it needs to be. Now it’s not installed but I had to do a test run since I finished the harness. This is gonna be a cool accessory.

Yeah the 2.5L can be the trickier of the engines to get going especially if the ISA had been played with prior as a "this will get it running"

The clicking is normal. Have you had to hold the throttle open to get it to start and stay running?

Yes. The I have money side of Jeeps haha.

Is the ISA working? If that isn’t working or in the extended position to be ready for the next start up, you’re gonna have some issues starting and running.
