I think you’re right about that. I swear I had seen some 86’s and 7’s but I could be wrong.

Actually, late 87-90 had the polished letters. 84-early 87 used a brushed aluminum to all the nameplates. Just so no one is confused and finds different looking nameplates when replacing with the correct year.

Check the TPS. The TBI has a pressure regulator on the body, if it hasn’t been serviced, it could be failing but don’t suspect that right away as that’s a full day job to rebuild the TBI.

Is your MJ an auto or manual? I ask cause if it’s a manual truck, you can use the TCU mounting studs on the lower part of the dash to make a bracket from that to mount your CB.

I don’t see any gaskets in the catalog. So maybe the way G did it is the way they did it in the factory or at the dealer.

This issue makes me think TPS. I’ve had it to where I would be driving and I’d get the same thing where it would hesitate and buck and go back to normal driving until it acts up again a few miles later. Found it to be TPS as that’s what tells the ECU to more or less dump fuel.

I can take a look at my XJ. I know some nutserts can come with an o-ring on them to help with the waterproofing. My best guess would be that they had gaskets with the kit.

Got this done last night. It is now ready for the headliner and dome lamps. Slight hiccup in the headliner. My dad has tweed to do the liner but there’s not enough sadly so I had to order more. This will match the seats a bit more and be more in line with my MJ and her headliner. Also the window seals came in but not the wipes, those are backorder till April(no these aren’t OEM sadly as those are gone now.)

head liner is out, it is gonna get recovered tomorrow. I made a new roof harness to use the new dome/map lamp and one for the cargo lamp as well. Currently don't have the right cargo lamp but when I find one I will do the swap which will be easy. Also got the holes cut/expanded for both lamps. Gonna be really nice to have both.

Looks like the headliner is coming out for a possible recover and gonna put in a dome lamp and cargo lamp.

Passenger side head is done and the shop removed the two broken bolts too! I didn’t think they would’ve done that but I’ll take it! Also as I dig more and more into finding things to be powder coated, I have fully learned and accepted that I do indeed need to buy a full radiator core support. It is too far rusted on the drivers side right at the battery tray to be of use and stay installed.

So I just did the acetone ATF mix on my T/As power steering pump pulley as it needs to be removed and powder coated like the rest of the parts and last night it was a pain to get it to budge. I put the mix on the pulley center and voila! I got it off with out exerting my energy.

And you’re right. They really are comfy. Like they may not have the wings that later seats do but man I feel comfy as I type this while sitting in the drivers seat haha. No stress on the back what so ever.

Well that was my 2 cents haha. Mine was off for a bit until I found out I had one of the shackles flipped the wrong way.
