We now have these back in stock. Please take a look! https://boxyjeep.com/products/jeep-comanche-6-5-rear-speaker-brackets

Makes sense. Let me see what we can do to do another run of metal ones.

Engine bay looking mint!

Any specific reasons you want the metal ones? The new plastic design is just as reliable and substantially cheaper. Feel free to shoot me a DM too.

looking for your Comanche literature

Very cool read. I also like some of the diagrams of the transfer case/transmission. Let me see what I can spin up... -
Haven’t done this but believe you need to call the state ref and setup a time for it to be inspected.

I have one ready to go from a spare harness. DM me.

Price is back up to $6xx now. Wish I saw this sooner :-(

Really glad to hear about your progress. Keep the great attitude and you’ll be able to overcome any challenge.

To be honest, the front factory brackets leave a lot to be desired. One side is just a long screw with plastic standoffs into the fender liner. I'd strongly recommend doing something like one of our other members did where they built a bracket between the fender mount and inner body.

We’ve got a Labor Day sale right now…. 15% with code “LABORDAY”.

Not sure if you have the brackets, but if you need those too, I also make replicas: https://boxyjeep.com/products/jeep-comanche-mj-mud-flap-bracket-kit-1986-1992

Replacement Tailgate Handles - A Retrospective
boxyjeep replied to boxyjeep's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Thanks! Really appreciate that. I'm hoping that some of my upcoming products will be even more appealing that the tailgate handles. -
I thought you guys would be interested in hearing about how designing and selling MJ tailgate handles for the past year has gone. With Key Parts now making brand new full assemblies, I've discontinued my stainless repair kit (which allowed you to build a new handle assembly using your old backing plate). During the time I had these for sale, I sold 60 kits, refurbished and sold 7 assemblies, and spent dozens of hours on prototyping, testing, fitting, and recording the install video. While I certainly hoped to continue selling these (and I even was working on a full assembly option), my solution won't be able to compete with the cost of the Key Parts offering (~$100), but it's certainly been interesting watching the tailgate handle market over the past year. Good condition assemblies used to fetch a tall premium on eBay and secondary markets. With the advent of my kit (and the Key Part successor) the availability of used options has gone up substantially with much more reasonable pricing too. It was a good run, but on to new products!

Sorry to say, but it’s not going to be worth that much. Especially with the salvage title and front end swap you are planning.

That buffing came out extremely nice. Congrats!

Yeah, that's certainly a lot of not-so-fun issues for that much money... -

I wonder what it sold for. Loved watching the YouTube videos about it but was aghast when they kept the Peugeot transmission. -
How about you give it to me (I have a short bed) and I'll write you out and IOU for a long bed bar when I find one?
