For some reason I’m just now seeing this. It’s keeping it cool with no issues at all. I sat in the drive through for 20 mins on a 90 degree day and it never got over 190

I wasn’t able to get the rear window and I forgot my glass tools and didn’t break it. Rear flares were ok but not great so I left them. I may go back and grab the bed sometime soon so I don’t really want to give up where it is yet not that the bed is great, I just want to make a trailer

The mud flaps came off of a Cherokee but I’d sell those. The fog lights I grabbed for my truck since I already have factory covers for them

My thoughts exactly. I also didn’t have enough space to bring home a bed this trip but I’m debating on going back for the long bed to make a trailer since it’s good enough for that

Blue 87 2.5 manual 2wd with a bench seat and a grey interior. I bought a lot of good stuff from this truck and the guy at the yard told me it was going to be crushed soon as it was already out of the computer

This is a black 86 2.5 manual 4wd with a d35 that had a black interior. It was pretty well stripped and most of the interior panels are broken sadly. I got a few good things but not much good was left

I went to 3 yards today and found some pretty good stuff. First yard had a FSJ Wagoneer and not much else Jeep. The second yard had a few xjs and a blue comanche that was complete but was about to be crushed because they ran out of space. I got a great deal on a lot of parts because of that. The third yard had another Comanche (black lwb one) and I got a few things from it and a lot from all the other xjs Overall pretty good birthday trip!

I know I’m not going to get anywhere near that out of it but what’s wrong with dreaming I didn’t set a min on the make an offer button to see what I get offered for it but worse case I’ll keep it until I can find a matching passengers one

I went this morning to a fairly well traveled yard that got in a 88 2 door xj so I got a few things from that including the header panel and some other small stuff. I was hoping for a 44 in that xj but it had a 35. I went to my favorite small yard after lunch to get a few other parts including a tailgate and some trim pieces. I was looking under the backs of the xjs and sure enough one had a 44! I just need to go back and pull it now when it cools off a little bit. This yard has lots of cool xj/ mj stuff and the owner prices cheap. He also doesn’t get much traffic at all because it’s more of a private yard that you have to know someone to get access too

I had never heard of the limited cj7 before I found these emblems. The only other set of emblems I found is used on eBay for $600 which I think is way to high but it may not be if they are that rare

I got lucky the other day and scored this lot of nos emblems. The favorite is the turbo diesel for sure since I have two used ones but the new one is cool to have. The limited ones came on 2 years of cj7s

Well the truck hasn’t really been breaking very much so I haven’t really had to do much other than drive it. It did get new headlights a few weeks ago which help a lot. The big change is to the interior. I had put a dodge Dakota split bench in it which I liked but it still sat a little high. I also wanted to go back to the factory buckets and some sort of console. I found a very nice set of black factory buckets over the summer in a 4 door xj that I decided to use. I just needed brackets for the Comanche so I bought a pair of grey mj seats with brackets to use. I took the grey ones apart and swapped brackets to the black seats. I put the seats in this past weekend and I already like them a lot. It just left me with a console to make or modify. I took a pretty nasty 97+ one and cut it up to mock up for my giant shifter. It fits pretty well and I plan to cut up a nicer one when I find one since I just used this one to test my idea. I also need to do something about the front gap which I plan to fill with a panel and a trailer brake controller. Overall I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I just need to get rid of all the extra seats now😂

Yea you got lucky with that. I’ve seen a ton of xjs all over the south and never found a factory 44. Any interest in selling the rear axle or are you planning to put it in your truck?

Hmm that looks like a 44 rear..... I really wish I could find one in a yard to put in my truck to replace the 35 that I somehow haven’t destroyed😂

I went junkyarding again today and bought more parts which is proving that I’m buying much more than I’m selling. I mostly got more xj waggy stuff but also got some comanche stuff. I guess it’s not a problem till my bedroom is stacked to the top with parts😂

I found two 97+ xjs with woodgrain interiors today and couldnt stop myself from taking half of them with me😂 I might have a Jeep parts problem.....

I’m pretty sure it was but I didn’t look very close at it. I’ll check next time I’m back at this yard

Sadly it was broken but the rest of the interior was pretty nice

Red SWB 4wd 4.0 with a bench seat. This truck is fairly rusty for around here but had some decent parts left on it. This truck was in a yard with 2 others which is rare to see around here
