  1. Got around to installing some things. Put in the jeepcables.com wiring kit. While I was messing with that decided it was time to upgrade the stereo that was beat to crap. I didn't need anything crazy but I really wanted a nice system in something. WJ doesn't have the space and my Scions system does fine. So I dropped in a 8" sub 5ch amp and new speakers and a deck. Sounds awesome and the 8" sub has the perfect amount of bass.
  2. Alright got everything now time for the madness to start.....
  3. Yessir! Going to be a ssllllooowww build though.
  4. I'll have a build thread soon but this is what I'm starting with...... It's a 72 that they guy was going to graft on to a TJ frame with some other silly things. I do not intended to go that route but will slowly do a resto mod. Been hunting for a bullnose one for a while and this was a smoking deal and I got a LS to swap into it too.
  5. Thanks for the replies. Went with the car hauler. Be getting a new project this weekend.
  6. Quick question, I just bought a 72 commando but need to trailer it. It currently has a D60 rear but no front axle. I'll have a tractor at pick up and drop off to move it. My question is will this trailer work or do I need a transport? I'm concerned with the width of the axle being able to fit inside the utility trailer. Trailer I'm wondering about Transport
  7. Slider all day. Had a one piece in mine after the slider was shot out and I was not a fan. I don't have ac but having the slider open at least helps get some air moving.
  8. Nice but not 20k nice. But guessing if you're going to mention "new" lugnuts you're getting top dollar.....
  9. Might be best to part it out. Amount of work involved is doable but not exactly easy or cheap. To give you an idea. https://www.jeepforum.com/threads/xj-with-a-frame-build.741237/
  10. Lol, Yeah and this would be a solid candidate to swap those parts over to. To complicate it even more a bullnose commando just popped up for cheap and I've been looking for one for a while. Soooooooo wife's gonna be pissed.
  11. I'm trying to snag this but seller is pretty lax in getting it sold. Not responding to emails and no phone number. So will see what happens.
  12. Not mine just one I found for sale. I am trying to buy it so we'll see 1989 Jeep Comanche 2WD 4 Cylinders E 2.5L TBI OHV 150 CID
  13. Finally got around to installing my REM. Got a TPS issue I need to figure out. Nice finally having a "easy" way to know what's going on. I also picked some decent turbines and got some JKS lower control arms and drop brackets cheap. The direction I'm leaning for a build is a restomod. 31s, little lift, possibly a LS swap and some other things. First, I need to part out the project MJ in the garage, finish the WJ build and then I might be ready but I'll keep stashing parts until then.
  14. Something not right. The track bar is not bolted to the bottom bracket and while it's straight with the drag link the tie rod is not and it should be parallel to the ground. It should look more like this. All track bars are "bolt on" (uncles it's something fabbed), biggest difference is whether you move to a double shear or keep the TRE style connection. Double shear is a lot better on lifted rigs.
  15. Pass on junk country. IRO make a nice trackbar, same with CORE, Ironmanfab and some others. Do you have a lift?
  16. Dang! I paid 150 for mine but I swapped in the later XJ rubber gasket.
  17. For those not on book of faces to see this abomination...... Just absolutely wtf
  18. What are you looking for (beater, resto mod, crawler, original) and where do you live? 86s are all over the damn place but as you get higher in years they are harder to find.
  19. CO is pretty easy for towing. Just have brake lights and don't have your stuff flying off and you shouldn't have issues Assuming you'll just be on i25 so your worst part will be going through Denver, rest is easy.
