  1. I'm not one for the law telling ya what to do but I'm not mad about this....... https://www.npr.org/2021/12/03/1061200749/carolina-squat-squatted-trucks-suvs-illegal-north-carolina?utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=npr&utm_term=nprnews&utm_source=facebook.com&fbclid=IwAR0AXK-FF_17B2aEMF1XXRLz9Uoc5t1GKsMv12LGAYFvF0PfyoPM_ZZfjp4
  2. Happened to me on my XJ. Only way to fix permanently it is put stiffners on and have that area fully boxed. A company called cRok used to make an entire system that fixed it but I don't think they do anymore. Looks like jcr might have something close. https://www.jcroffroad.com/product/XJUNF-PC.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiAkZKNBhDiARIsAPsk0WiJmFMsgUxp-afsUtU1tt1GFGyc8up6wMdaIAQTApqBTQnkTqt-pVoaAprGEALw_wcB
  3. This is a "steal"....... I get used car prices are insane but this is I just got done smoking meth, robbing a quikemart, then humped a goat insane. Side bar whoever said XJ taillights don't fit is a liar. https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/denver-rare-running-1989-jeep-comanche/7413724848.html
  4. They aren't cheap, around me they go for about 400 vs a 8.25 between 1-200. Ford 8.8 is another option. Typically able to get those with disc brakes and a lsd. Had one in my XJ and did fine.
  5. If you are going to pull it consider swapping a 8.25 either a KJ or a XJ one. Turdy5 I wouldn't spend money on. 8.25 is a way better option to put under there IMHO.
  6. Pinion angle IIRC should be 1-3 degrees.
  7. Yeah, but both still look like the buttt @$$ ugly crosstour.
  8. I mean no one has said 4.10s would be ideal...... Plus who doesn't want a little extra pep in your pedal when you hit it! If you have a manual, yes, you can get away with 4.10's because the extra gear. With the AW4 you should get a little deeper gear to help. Not 100% positive so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the torque curve on the 4.0 picks up about 2300-2600 so you should trying to stay around that range.
  9. 4.10s but 4.56s would be my pick. I ran 4.10s on my XJ with 33s and it was fine, but always wish I had deeper gears off road and going up the mountain. Around town 4.10s was plenty.

    Beer

Nice, after oktoberfest I started drinking a lot more German beers for a bit. Nothing too crazy just some good pilsers.
  11. Metalcloak dual rate, PSC or OME coils. For the rear either new leafs and keep it sua or soa with stock leafs. Will depend on how tall your going. I'd stick with the billi shocks. If you don't want or need long arms look at control arms drop brackets and short arms. Long arms I'd go with ironman fab or stinkyfab.
  12. I know what you mean about feeling "lost". We lost both our dogs within 2 months and nothing was the same. I grew up with German shepherds. Love those dogs. My wife is allergic to most dogs so we have Bichons. I have to admit, I do love those little fluff balls.
  13. Good thing it has a clean tital..... Clean truck though
  14. I have one but no idea who it's made by. Mine doesn't cover the glovebox though. Fit it fine.
  15. Yeah seriously, thing could pull a premium with a little work. Tried to tell my dad he should go grab it and flip it, but he didn't think it was worth that much . Stubborn old fart.
  16. Man if this popped up a week ago I would have snagged it. Pending no major rust this seems like a killer deal to me. https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/castle-rock-1980-jeep-cherokee-chief/7406004573.html
  17. Thanks, so assuming just measure from the wheel well base?

  19. So I got my old MJ back but PO took the ACOS off. I preferred the look without having the rake. I really don't want to go and put the ACOS back on simply due to cost. I I was looking at spacers. What size would be ideal. 3/4, 1.5in?
  20. Yeah it is, when I told my dad I was buying it back he's like you can have my old truck if you want a truck. Told him it's just not the same. He just chuckled and said whatever. Thanks, only car I ever regretted getting rid of was my old K5, this is a pretty close second.
  21. I got a clean bed with a rough cab and a HO hybrid coming up for sale . Just a "few" sates away
