So last year I sold my first MJ. I debated a lot about it but I just didn't drive it much and found another that I was planning to build. One of the guys in the NAXJA group had always asked me if I wanted to sell it. So when I finally did I reached out to him and got it all figured out. Fast forward a year later and I was poking through Craigslist and I saw a Comanche that looked all too familiar. So I reached out to him and asked if he was selling it. Well ol red is back! Forgot how much I loved driving the truck. I can't keep both MJs so will end up parting out the other one. Just nice having it back.

I did the durango/WJ pump swap on my XJ . Loved that setup up. It's pretty much bolt on with a few mods. Yes you need to have a thicker spacer since the box is bigger. Tweak the mounting for the pump and use the hose fitting from the XJ on the WJ pump. Made turning 33's effortless and super responsive.

Don't see why it wouldn't.

I agree with Toyota interiors. Functional but not really comfortable or attractive. You could look at Lexus. I think it's the ES300 that's comparable to the Camry/Avalon. The Lexus interior is a lot more refined and put together better than a standard Toyota. My wife has a gx460 and I absolutely love driving that car. It's really comfortable feels solid, the only downside is the technology on the interior is at least 5 years behind everyone else. Doesn't really matter to me a whole lot but for some people it's a deal-breaker.

Old friend of mine had a Volvo, both a s60r and a base s60. They were comfortable. Maintenance wise wasn't terrible but wasn't cheap when he had to fix it even if DYI. Decent to drive. Obviously the R was a lot more fun to drive because it hauled @$$. Personally I'm not a fan of Subarus, they're uncomfortable and tend to have issues. I bought a Scion xB as my daily. For what it is can't complain. Not the most comfortable car, but not bad and has a ton of space. I average 30 miles a gallon and I picked it up cheap. Other than the clutch accumulator failing two weeks ago I've just had to do oil changes. Something you could consider would be a BMW 3 series. BMWs are surprisingly easy to work on. Yes they do tend to have parts that we're a little quicker but majority of the aftermarket parts or well made and honestly not that expensive. Another thought would be looking for a Mercedes GLK350. They have a very well-built drivetrain. Extremely comfortable and would be within your MPG range and should be in the price range depending on area I used to have a c350 which was essentially the same, just a car and rear-wheel drive. Was great to drive. Loved that car.

Wife and I are going to Costa Rica in a few weeks and I booked a rental car. Saw this thing pop up, a Suzuki Jimny. Kind of cool and seems to be decently capable.

Not gonna lie, I need this in my life.

With a rig like that you know they are good.

WJ axle is wider so that may be a problem on mounting CA. Don't think the steering will work as lengths will be different for the linkage. If you got a welder you can probably make it work with some effort but I don't think you are going to be able to loosely bolt up.

Bwhwhahahaha, I appreciate it more as I want to find a cls63. Things are sexy.

Great shocks. For parts you can reach out to a guy named Kolak. He's a vendor over on Jeepforum and a WJ guru. kolak@aol.com, his first name is Nick. He can get you the best the prices for parts and help guide you on some options as well. I've gone through him for most all my WJ parts.

Stock height or lifted? I run billis on my WJ. More expensive but ride great. Worth the investment if you're going to drive it a lot and for a while. Otherwise look at MX6 shocks.

Pics don't fully do it justice but I was driving yesterday and I pulled alongside this truck that was just overflowing with garbage. As I approached the cab to assess the type of individual that would be the captain of such a vessel all I could see was mounds and mounds of more trash. I truly have no idea how this person is even able to drive. Then my question was answered when the light turned green and they just sat there with horns blaring behind them.

One of my old XJs had issues turned out to be a bad water pump. It was getting just a little too hot during the test and messed it up. O2 sensor and cats could also be something. -

That's cool! If I can ever find the time and money I'd love to convert one of the NPR trucks to a camper. -
True. Hers was an 07 so had the 42re. Thing constantly hunted for gears whenever going up a hill. Never downshifted when you wanted. Have the pedal mashed to the floor and it wouldn't down shift. Finally just started manually selecting gears to get it to go. It also developed a shudder that was annoying AF. Would just be driving and all of a sudden would feel like you're driving over a cattle grate. Need the solenoid and something else done. That was really early like 100kish.

Wife had a KJ and I hated it. Left us stranded twice. Once for an ignition switch that failed other for a fuel pump that took a dump. Sold it at 170k most of the service was done at the dealer as it was her mom's car before we got it. Dropped valve seats are a problem and the tranny is a piece of junk. Maintenance wise, I replaced the brakes almost every 30k, thing just ate brakes like crazy, water pump, coils and a few other things beyond basic maintenance. After the fuel pump went out is when it started having a lot of problems and why we sold it.
