  1. Here is the thread: Just ignore all the naysayers And read my last few posts in that thread šŸ˜‚. Most were saying it wouldn’t work or wouldn’t work well but it actually works much better. Just get plenty of 1x1ā€ foam strips so you can insulate everything and fill in any gaps around the evaporator. And don’t get your ac lines made until you install the evaporator and expansion valve. The new style sets away from the firewall further than oem. The condenser I used is a four seasons one from rock auto for a 91 xj
  2. I posted some info in the diy section about upgrading to the newer style plate and fin evaporator if you want to upgrade everything. I’ve never experienced better ac now in any vehicle, even on max the air is freezing and that’s with Guam weather.
  3. If you bought an 84-96 console you need to grab a bracket from one of those years. The aftermarket brackets are for 97-01. Never seen an aftermarket bracket from any manufacturer for the 84-96.
  4. I’m running the HO computer on my 91 but wanted more voltage than the stock ecu settings allow. As you mentioned, for renix it’s a must. It’s a simple setup too. Easy to install and configure
  5. That’s what I currently run. Also use an external regulator and bumped the voltage to 14.4 since I have a lot of electrical components to run (triple 10 fans, electric brake booster, leds and more). Works great for me and took just a little bit of grinding to get it to fit
  6. Do you mean is anyone making them for the earlier model full consoles? If so, I’ve never seen one. The oem bracket is pretty strong for those. If you looking for the one in the picture, several manufacturers make them. I like JCR products so would probably go with theirs personally
  7. AGR is under new ownership and it seems they are really trying to turn things around over there. Heard nothing but good since the new owners took over. That being said, I run PSC and have for years. They’ve never let me down even when running hydroboost brakes and hydro assist off of the same pump. Their steering boxes have been awesome and never developed any slack. West Texas off-road will build a box for you if you ask them to. Redhead steering gears are also great from other reviews. There are a few companies making racing versions of these boxes and they make some Jeepspeed versions as well but are very expensive (1200+ as of a few years ago). Although I’d love to make a jeepspeed ready MJ but that’s another story
  8. I can’t open the link. Can you post the info and pics here?
  9. yep, it’s just the black covers not the switch housing. Most already have the housing in their MJs but if not, they are all readily found in the junk yards
  10. i was ready to put them together and ship them out the week that our island went on lock down. Just waiting for the vinyl shop to open back up to print the vinyl. I’ll probably open this up as an open source project with links to what all is needed. There is another member on here making other repro parts and I was going to see if he can take over the project for those who wanted to buy them already finished.
  11. not me, I have mine already šŸ˜‚
  12. I hadn’t notice how good of shape that thing was in! Looks like a museum piece
  13. Cargo lights are an uncommon option and worth plenty to the right buyer. And yes, relatively speaking, our truck are rare with some models much rarer than others
  14. Not sure. Here in Guam they love their mini trucks so I would assume it’s some custom mini truck. Lots of Hilux’s here too
  15. On my soa it lifted a solid 2ā€ over good used 4x4 springs. Never settled either, I ended up giving those springs away to a Toyota truck guy
  16. As I said, everyone has an opinion lol. However, what is it worth to you? Maybe you like gm engines and maroon interiors with a long bed. The reality is, none of us can really tell you what it’s worth to you, only what we would pay for it. I personally had considered many MJs about 7-8 years ago. Once I narrowed down what I wanted (Chrysler era mpfi 4.0, 4wd, bucket seats, short bed, and sliding rear glass) I just waited until I found one, and it took quite a long time. If you like that truck and want to buy it and feel it’s worth the investment then go for it! If you have a tech question about something (like the reliability of the 2.8 or if the interior may or may not be original) than that’s another story and to me those are great questions. Just my $.02
  17. Some may pay 8k, some may not and there is no real metric other than opinions. It looks clean, has bucket seats, factory sport bar, and is 4x4, all of which are desirable. The long bed and 2.8 are the less desirable features from a market point of view. But to some this will be just what they’re looking for. The question is: what’s it worth to you? p.s. Not sure why this is in the mod section
  18. Many have purchased the general springs in KC and they work fine but will lift over stock height. JD Jeeps in CA is where I bought my last set of springs from for my soa. Great used set with no rust
  19. I put my temp sensor in the upper heater hose and it also work well there since that’s on a tstat bypass
  20. I too used the ball joint press method. Took maybe 3-5 mins per bushing
  21. Just remember with the remflex gasket, you can only use it once. It is fairly soft so be careful when installing it. The graphite creates an awesome seal though
  22. Remflex 10-001 best gasket hands down. Been running these since they came out
  23. No kidding, I thought I would build a nice MJ for about 5K... 25K later it’s almost where I want it to be
  24. sure thing, I’ll get it going tonight.
