I also got my alternator for the Ferd.. Just have to find the motivation to put it on.... one more thing that we learned.... Jake really is a poor college kid... he carries his tools around in a Wal*mart reusable grocery sack.

Came out very good looking.... But be VERY careful with gumout carb cleaner... It will peel the paint off of things.. especially ones you don't want the paint peeled off of.

Funny story there..... We were on our way to Hooters.. and the radio station I listen to faded out... So I start punching buttons trying to find something on. My wife had used my ZJ a few times the last week or so and had set my second band to the local Ghetto-Thumper/Pop $#!& station. When I flipped over to that.. they had an ad for the Kilt..... Our waitress was SO dumb.. that after I told her that we heard the ad on the radio and that is why we were there.. she said they weren't even advertising yet... Other things we learned.... Pat and Aaron fight like an old married couple.... Pat and Aaron REALLY like cheap junkyards.... Pat doesn't like the counter girl at the cheap junkyard. Pat has NO standards.. Jake takes being picked on...REALLY well. Aaron's GF(whose name I can't remember) is really VERY understanding about Jeeper disease...Poor girl wasn't dressed for being in a frozen JY and she made the best of it. and I think made a new friend in dumb waitress

Pete M, I'm sure has the specifics... But Comanches have appeared in the Baja races in the past. Including a factory team during the AMC era. I am having an 'old-man' moment right now, but the team was a fairly well known team. Well funded and they did quite well.

The DD.. not much only what happens to be in there from whatever I'm doing that day. 4 days out of 7, I drive 15 miles total for the day in my DD.

Look.. We all understand you are VERY excited by finally getting part of your project going. We all know the feeling of that rush, and being young makes it twice as bad. Even with Pat's fairly hard handed responses, he his correct. Those welds are not good. The material was too dirty and you are not getting enough heat for good penetration. Noone seriously wants you to quit a project. But they do want you to do it correctly. We want as many Comanche nuts around as long as possible.

How does that work??? I always seemed to end up paying to get rid of them..... :ack:

You can have ours... and take the cold weather please... I'd rather have sunshine and 60's... I have projects I want to do...

While I applaud you for trying to make the best of bad situation. Those welds are really not good. They need to be redone. Those plates are not safely attached for what you are doing...

I saw one today I have never seen before. Tube rear bumper and cheapy Wal*mart driving lights aimed all goofy. It was behind an apartment building known to house naer-do-wells. So I tagged it hoping I will get a call from an owner looking for crack money.

Is Tilted Kilt open yet??? I just heard the ads on the radio for their "cast try-outs" a couple of weeks ago.... I'm guessing that involves thongs and mini skirts... but that is probably a good choice for you COW residents and Jake.. It's WAY out on the east side right next to the tollway.
