  1. I had the same wheel but in black in a wheeling Jeep. I pretty much hated it... the small size was frustrating and those steel spokes hurt like hell when your hand slips and they smack you.
  2. I'm guessing none of you have ever actually seen one of these kits in operation or installed one??? There are rods that go from the bolt in pedals to the normal pedals. You reach across to turn on the blinkers or four-ways. You do deactivate the air bag on some kits.. others you remove the airbag as the steering wheel bracket bolts to the airbag mounting bracket. The kit itself is fairly expensive.. $8-900 IIRC.. but you can order it one from the conversion company. Quick pic I found of a conversion done on a Ranger... http://www.postalthings.com/images/Jan0 ... on%201.JPG
  3. April 2-4th doesn't work for me.. Easter weekend..But they may run a 25% off weekend that weekend.. if they do.. I will figure out a way.. April 17-18th More than likely only the 18th I'm not available, but I haven't gotten the exact detail yet. April 30-May 2nd doesn't work either Cub Scout crap
  4. A little buffing compound and that will come right out...
  5. Weren't you bragging before about how you only use non-ethanol blended fuels??? Another benefit of running 10% blended fuel... Moisture doesn't collect in the tank for exactly the same reason that Heet works... The alcohol creates a chemical bond with the water and carries it through the fuel system
  6. Congrats man.... When I bought my MJ the OO had not one but two complete sets of FSMs for it... It is absolutely invaluable when you are trying to fix something... But now you need to get a copy of the electrical troubleshooting manual for it.
  7. Pedro hard at work hauling junk...
  8. Actually it does cover vehicles like ours where the OE parts are no longer available... or meets specifications equivalent to the muffler installed by the original manufacturer Ever seen a set of muffler specs in an FSM???
  9. You guys are borrowing another Midwest idea.... That's okay we won't charge you.... ;)
  10. Until the Shade Tree monkeys got into trouble for removing the cat on a Monte SS... They are still on TV.. on Speed. Two Guy Garage is their show now. Stacy David is also on Speed now. Gearz is his show. I don't want MJs on Powerblock either.. Too many perfectly good vehicles have gone to the crusher because of appearing on that stuff. Stacy David's webpage used to have an eye opening set of posts about that subject.
  11. Hopefully you can get some things straightened away now buddy.... ;)
  12. I'm with the grow the hell up and shut the hell up crowd. How you deal with the folks who make the rules is a sign of maturity... not how many hours you work or what you do with your time. Until your name is over the door.. you get to listen to other folks.. the ones in charge of your school have said shut your locker door. Do it and move on.
  13. Line-x and Rhino hold up better to steel hitting them.. but they are not impenetrable. The spray in ones that end up soft are almost useless against steel. We used to get spray in liners on the trucks at work to try and keep the beds in better shape... But day after day of steel parts, pallets, boxes, etc. being drug around and sliding and eventually they all fall to pieces.
  14. Charlie??? Jerry??? Or my personal favorite.. Bat.. Or Labor??? Just having a bit of fun with you.... :D
  15. Drag link and tie rods from a V-8 ZJ... also the front sway bar from a V-8 ZJ up to 98.
  16. I know Jake does it on his phone. I have seen him do it.
  17. I've got a metric tonne. 3.07 geared Dana 44 stock.. 2205lb payload though. Seems like I remember different payloads with different spring setups though.
  18. It was also a proprietary version of the Ramsey 6000-lb winch. Normally, the winch "feet:" mount pointing down and the controls face up. With the hidden winch, the mounting plate is vertical so the feet have to point toward the rear of the vehicle rather than down. Which means the wich base is "clocked" 90 degrees relative to the mechanism and controls. I don't know if a standard 6000 or 8000 pounder can be modified to mount that way. Sure they can... they mount that way inside an ARB bull bar... The line actually feeds out the "bottom" of the winch when its installed that way.
  19. The pump is replaceable inside the assembly though.
  20. Well... I am surprised you ended up getting that in there. But it looks tragically awful... The dimensions of the slots just don't work with the MJ. And the chrome trim just highlights the awfulness of it...
  21. Keep looking... I have this exact one in my 88 from the factory.
  22. na i didn' really buy it for what it was, i only got cause it was a cheap back up rig for my 6.5 which did fail so now its the driver,if it can be patched up and made into a decent looking driver it'll stay around and eventually re-powered with an AMC-V8, If it's shot i'll run it till it's junk and recycle it, the likely hood of searching out another Comanche to replace it is highly unlikely . . . it'll simply get replaced with another $0-$500 beater what ever brand that might be who knows hopefully not a dodge or a car . . . Mike Easy on the recycle talk.... We like to keep them in the family until there isn't anything left of them
  23. Wonder if they are going to claim that is caused by floor mats....
  24. Have you used a water "wetter" yet? I have used it with success on my wheeling Jeep. It will generally run 5-10 degrees cooler even on the hottest summer day. http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=74&pcid=10 There is also a product called super kool or something pretty similar.
  25. A. There is more than one VIN B. It is a violation of Federal law to do that. Meaning big fines and jail time. C. You are very lucky that Pete is a really nice guy. Certain forums even mentioning VIN changing and you are banned.
