I do not believe you have to correct wiring harness for an automatic, you for sure do not have a tcm. If you decide to swap the whole harness you will essentially be doing a ho swap. It has been done but you gotta get everything.
How old is the coolant?
I've heard strange stories that the coolant gains electrical properties and could be screwing with you.
Only other thing would be swap the temp sensor, see if it remains. How's the gauge ohm out?
You don't want the emission timer, it was a one time user item that would turn on a light. No use for it.
It could have also been to a switch on the clutch or the brake for 3
2 cruise
3 either speaker or well lights
4 headlight delay
5 gauge cluster
6 cargo light
7 clock
8 ?
btw year is helpful
if you fill out your signature it helps us out a lot
Id say modify, it's your truck do what you want with it, most of the time you can go back to stock. You can save the parts that comes off of it if you have to room, but it all comes down to what you want and desire
Orange wires with spots for bulbs are for the illumination of the switch tops/what the switch does.
Yep auto tps, tells the tcm where the throttle is at.
Trans and roll bar lights iirc go on the right of the column.
