    Stick with the old one if you're not having issues with it

    I think all you need to run that speedo is a speed sensor out of the trans. And run new wiring, but I could be wrong As far as the other gauges will need the correct senders

    it's a possibility, since its got to mesh those gears together, if you are stuck and not moving and they fall misaligned the tc will be spinning the front driveshaft till it locks in then bam
