  1. Can't look at it like that. Without the enthusiasm for the lenses, these may have never happened. Money well spent.
  2. Carling L-series is another somewhat early 90's-ish looking option that you can have customized in whichever throw/ pole/ color/ symbol/ text combo you want for your application. I like them because they don't look like something yanked out of a spaceship and this solution is way better than having unlabeled switches that you can't find in the dark.
  3. Not cheap, but Seller is accepting offers: https://www.ebay.com/itm/385304087247?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=tOw8ZJ2WSaO&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=hpmq-HmJTa6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  4. I think that's a really nice choice to run on stock suspension. It's actually a hair under 31"x10.5" in both dimensions. You shouldn't have a problem.
  5. Comparing ride height measurements between trucks is really tough because the final height is heavily dependent upon vehicle loadout and mod configuration. I'm currently running the military wrap metric ton leaf packs with adjustable IRO lift shackles in rear and RE 4.5" coils in front. Initially, I started out with 3" IRO coils and only changed to 4.5" after installing my winch bumper. I'm also the type of wierdo that keeps a spreadsheet that tracks maintenance history, mod configuration and occasional ride height measurements specific to my truck. From that sheet I can parse out ride height changes due to mods vs settling. So, here are a few data points I can share: - Between Nov. 2017 and Jun. 2023 my leaf packs have settled 3/4" -During this time, I ran IRO adjustable shackles in the rear on their lowest setting - When I installed the ARB winch bumper and 10k winch, my 3" front coils squatted 3/4". -I then installed the RE 4.5" coils hoping to recoup some of that loss and ultimately gained back 1 1/4". Not quite the full 1 1/2" I expected over the 3" coils, but still pretty good. -If you are following the numbers, then you see my front ended up 1/2" higher than where I started. So, I had to raise the IRO shackles to their highest setting to maintain ~1 1/2" forward rake. Some takeaways: -The GS leafs do settle, but not drastically. -The RE coils are soft, and deliver slightly less lift than advertised. -If you want to run 4.5" coils in front with GS metric ton leaf packs, you will definitely need some way to boost the rear if you want to maintain near factory rake. -But how much? Here is where YMMV. My truck has a lot of weight over the rear with the camper shell and all. An empty bed may sit higher and require less compensation. I don't think specific frame-over-axle measurements from other trucks are going to be much help because your ride height will be different unless your truck is outfitted exactly the same.
  6. Nice score. This was a well optioned truck. Floors are rotted clean through.
  7. The attorney probably meant for you to talk to a classic car appraiser or similar professional. I'm afraid internet opinions aren't going to move the needle much with an insurance company. Do you have the receipts to backup your total investment? That might help. You might also use this tool to search the market for trucks in comparable condition: Good luck!
  8. Grand Total for Calendar Year 2022: 4 - Red, stock - Maroon, stock - Red, lifted on 35's. This is the only one I spotted while in my MJ. Managed to wave at eachother as we passed in opposite directions. - Red, junkyard.
  9. Squatting under weight is really more if a spring issue than a shock issue. Swapping in a stiffer gas shock will just make your ride quality worse. Upgrading your leaf packs would be the best move, but there are load adjusting shocks available with helper springs that can provide supplemental support for worn out leaf springs. Monroe makes a popular version: https://www.monroe.com/products/carry-the-load/load-adjusting-shocks.html
  10. Minor shelf wear... A++ condition!
  11. Yiles. High mileage, salvage title, flood damage, likely salt water (Florida). Hard pass.
  12. That Seller has had some interesting MJ pieces over the years. His strategy seems to be to double his money on what he buys. That handle was listed for $500, he bought it and listed for $900. I've seen him do the same thing with his Lund inventory. Honestly, it's not a bad racket if you have the space and patience to sit on your inventory for years...like many jeep hoarders are keen to do anyway. Can't really call him a clown either because, with 9000k positive feedback, people are clearly buying. He's playing the long game and probably beating the stock market.
  13. It's unfortunate that plan didn't work. Honestly though, reproduction mud flaps always struck me as a tricky business proposition because they bear the AMC/JEEP logos. A Cease and Desist letter would shut down the whole business. Generic mud flaps would be easy enough to cut out of a roll of raw stock... but who would buy them?
  14. Glad to hear the journey went well. The body looks to be in good shape. What kinda mileage does it have on it?
  15. When considering regearing, remember to factor in the extra weight you are carrying. With a long bed canopy onboard, your truck already FEELS more anemic that most others. When other people say 3.73 or even 4.10 worked great for them, remember that the effect on your rig will be slightly dampened. Then, remember to factor in future upgrades... steel bumpers... sliders... etc. Then, passengers and equipment. In your other thread you mentioned moving up to to 33's. IMO, you should be aiming for 4.56 or even 4.88s. That's noting that I am currently on 32's with 4.10s and a canopy.
  16. Yes actually... it came to me with a home brew hitch plate and a flat 4 trailer connector tucked up in the frame.
  17. I have always had these two indents above my tailgate handle. I bought the truck used so the origin has always been a mystery to me, especially since the location doesn't line up with any of the tailgate handle fasteners. Then today, I saw a FB post where some folks mentioned having OUTWARD dents in these same spots. How common is this? Anyone know the reason for, or origin of these marks? Do you have indents or... outdents?
  18. Nice score! I have a soft spot for blue shortbeds with camper shells.
  19. How does the Enterprise rate compare to uHaul for an F-150? Uhaul does a special rate when you bundle with a trailer. F-150 + 6×12 low profile enclosed trailer would be a nice combo. I Bet it would be under $500 for a 2 day long haul.
  20. Whatever you do, don't toss it... some nut job will probably pay big bucks for it.
  21. Great stuff! Narration was good and I appreciated that you didn't leave us hanging to find out if you got the truck sorted. Side note - I'm impressed you got your lady to take a trip like that without A/C. That would be relationship suicide in most cases.
  22. Looks like you're off to a great start! I just saw an HP D30 in a parts pile on FB. Front shaft was in the pile too. Seller was in Thomasville, seeking best offer.
