  1. Check the "trans" fuse.
  2. How's your coolant level in the bottle? Still need to check those hoses with your hand. That will help us narrow this down.
  3. Compare the temp of the upper radiator hose with the temp of each heater hose where it goes through the firewall. Your hand is perfectly fine to do this.
  4. You ask good questions and are willing to listen to answers. Those are traits that will serve you well.
  5. For sure you need to do the ground refreshing, C101 cleaning and connector refreshing. I would do those BEFORE installing the new cPS.
  6. Gonna drill the upper mounting hole? How many of my Renix tips have you done?
  7. High altitude version advances the ignition timing a little. All I ever use.
  8. 1 to 1 Wild Turkey 101 and Peppermint Schnaps is a "snowshoe".
  9. From the folks at Fat Tire.
  10. Good stuff. Ranger IPA right now myself.
  11. That's the fun part-helping others and learning more each day.

  14. Ever make a "snowshoe"? Wild turkey and peppermint schnaps....
  15. Check for vacuum leaks and that the hose from the rear fitting of the valve cover to the intake manifold is clear. Intake manifold bolts must be snug. The hose/tube from the throttle body to the MAP sensor on the firewall must be flawless. Click on this link and go to posts 1, 3, 4, and 5 and perform the outlined procedures. Preventative maintenance and a good investment of very little time. http://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/cruiser54s-mostly-renix-tips-153657/
  16. Seals properly. And lasts longer than the chinese junk replacement caps that are generally available.
  17. With it idling, spray throttle body cleaner around the intake to head area and those vacuum lines to see if the vac leaks are gone for sure.
  18. As for the poor running, check the intake manifold bolts to be sure they're snug and you're not pulling unmetered air into the engine between the manifold and head. There are also a few hoses below the throttle body that end to crack and leak vacuum badly.
  19. Replace the freeze plug. Get a 703-1396 cap from Napa for the bottle. Removing the heater control valve as you already planned is a good idea. I always relocate the vac balls ro the bottom of the coolant bottle bracket, eliminating all the troublesome vac hoses to the bumper.
  20. Finally someone with good taste in beer!!!
