  1. The one with 60 small slots separated by 3 long slots is Renix.
  2. Napa. They're all from the same supplier any more anyway. Napa has a lifetime guarantee. I write the replacement date on the bottle with a Sharpie.
  3. That green cap releases at 16 PSI when it seals good on the tank. I'm thinking the tank may be too far gone, and you've got issues with the heater hoses.
  4. Never a bad idea to improve grounds by any means possible, including soldering.
  5. If that green Napa cap doesn't seal you may have to replace the bottle.
  6. That's okay. Does it go to 39 when you pull the vac hose off the fuel pressure regulator though?
  7. I might have a new one.
  8. What are the actual readings while driving?
  9. 90 Renix has a single spade connector at the oil pressure sending unit. It is a variable ground to the instrument panel gauge.
  10. It's a ground. Won't be hot. Change the oil also? Hit the sender with the oil filter wrench?
  11. Did you guys with 87s with AW4 and auto trans had a different shifting program than those of us from 88 to 90? TCU worked differently. Later ones were better........
  12. I fixed it. Thanks!!
  13. FWIW, here is the write-up I did on bypassing that stupid switch: Bypassing the Power/Comfort Switch on a Renix Jeep Remove and unplug the switch. In the harness are 3 wires One has a stripe, one is tan, and the other black. Make a 4" jumper wire with a male spade at each end. Plug one end in the cavity for the tan wire and the other in the cavity for the striped wire and you'll be in permanent Power mode. Stuff the harness back in and reinstall the switch for looks. If you happen to have a 91 or 92 XJ/MJ and it has the Power/Comfort switch, just jumper the Tan and Blue wires in the harness plug. NEVER include the black wire when jumpering!!!
  14. Noticed the Mj was idling a bit low, kinda acting like a bad O2 sensor yesterday. Got home and hooked up the scanner. Was reading the sensors. O2 switching great. Intake air temp showed 246*!! That's what happens when you forget to plug it back in after a WJ booster swap....................
  15. Photobucket. Flickr. Tinypics. Image Shack. All free photo hosting sites. Heck, I think even Kodak may now offer free photo hosting. Tried photobucket and it didn't work. Kinda lost interest.
  16. I think they're readily available. Same as GM maybe?
  17. It could be dirty. Search BG 44K on Google.
  18. Oh yeah.
  19. It's some old diesel.
  20. Pull the EGR. It can leak internally where you can't spray check for leaks.
  21. Either your EGR valve is leaking or you have a vacuum leak bigger than an EGR could leak. I'd remove the EGR and see what's going on there. The hoses kinda under the throttle body are in good shape?
  22. Should go from about 1.1 at idle to as high as 4.7 when you stab the throttle. What does it read when you pull open the EGR? Have you ever checked the Ohms reading on the MAP sensor plug to ground?
  23. What about from idle doing a throttle "stab" while observing MAP output.
