  1. Not supposed to be hooked up. It's a vent for that crappy CAD system. I would ditch all that crap. Here's why: CAD STINKS The big issue is that the CAD system only fails when you need it the most. Kinda like when you don't realize your wiper blades need replacing until it rains.... I know somebody’s system works and he advocates keeping it stock, but my exposure to the failures is probably hundreds of times greater than his, as a result of being Service Manager at a Jeep dealership from 1980 through 1992, and being a current XJ and MJ owner. CAD stinks. Every Jeep I work on with it, I eliminate it. Guess what I find in the process? 25 year old busted vacuum lines, bloated vacuum line connectors, bad vacuum reservoirs and piping, bad transfer case vacuum switches. In other words, had the person gotten into a sticky situation and needed 4WD, they would have been screwed!!! That's the tip of the iceberg. The factory went through 3 revisions of the shift fork also. The fork issue is non-existent if you just slide it over and leave it. See the link below for complete instructions. Takes less than 1/2 hour. http://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/fre...ss-91-a-38629/ ,
  2. What issue? You'll need a 6 to 1 auxiliary fuel pressure regulator. Contact Corky Bell at Bell engineering.
  3. Don't overlook the possibility that the relay which was wired backwards could be damaged as a result.
  4. You gotta be kidding.....
  5. Got a flashlight that strobes? You went over ECU connectors already?
  6. I wonder if there is crap in the injector or throttle body itself. Old trick is to use a timing light aimed at the injector spray to see how it's doing.... Ever remove the ECU and refresh it's connectors?
  7. I haven't the time this morning to re-read the whole thread. Could you recap what's been done so far to address this issue?
  8. So, it is hesitating and backfiring along with the tach jumping? Could your exhaust have a restriction? We had an 86 at the dealership which had the material in the cat come apart, melt in a ball, and roll to the outlet of the converter at it's will.
  9. Cam is same 87 to 95. Renix has EGR and HO may have retarded cam timing which would explain less low end and the EGR being no longer needed.
  10. don't you ever leave your house?sentence of the day lol :D and I do plan to get a Super 44 eventually actually. The subwoofer made it loud inside so now to make it loud outside! Having to pay the deductible is going to set me back a little. I won't know anything until Tuesday or Wednesday because Geico adjusters don't work weekends. Genius has it's limits but stupidity knows no bounds.
  11. don't you ever leave your house?
  12. You guys ever hear this about deer crossings?
  13. They're common as belly buttons.
  14. I had a supercharged car with power brakes and was no issue. When you hit the brakes, you're out of boost, and the booster has a check valve.....
  15. They fail internally just from use and no lubrication/maintenance. Once they break, they hammer the hell out of the door metal. I cut the metal out of old doors and make bolt in reinforcement plates.
  16. Needed to be taken apart and put back together...LOL.
  17. HO myth buster Renix in 90 made 182 HP. HO in 91 made 190 HP. That's 8 HP difference. HO only made more HP than Renix at higher RPMs and not a bit more torque. HO had 58 mm throttle body versus a 52 mm throttle body on a Renix and also had a better design header. See where I'm going with this? The whole 8HP was not mostly from the head, but from the bigger TB and better exhaust manifold. Put a 60mm TB from www.strokedjeep.com on your present head, eliminate the "crush" in your headpipe with proper re-routing, and go for it. HO stands for Highly Overrated. __________________
  18. I just may do this after all, I already have a 7120 head ready to go as well. Is there a piston you would recommend to use with 87 octane ? I know there are slight differences with 4.0 pistons, thanks. Match port the rEnix intake manifold and the cylinder intake ports to the rEnix gasket. I can't remember which pistons but I can find out.
  19. Just do a poor man's stroker with a bored throttle body and the proper injectors.
  20. But why did it snap off?
  21. I drove a Ram 1500 with the Eco-Diesel and 8 speed ZF auto trans. what a frickin rocket!!!!!
  22. No 3.0 diesel?
