  1. Does anyone else here get as much amusement from these two as I do? :D
  2. Well deserved. Never saw anyone more willing to share his knowledge and experience. Congrats.
  3. Looks home brewed to me, but also looks like one heck of a good job.
  4. Got one. Got to figure out how to wrap to ship. $25.
  5. Location?
  6. '89 MJ, 2.5, 5 speed. Harness is complete. Plug for left hand parking light has been cut off. $25 you pull. $50 I pull and ship.
  7. Shouldn't this read, "After just buying a set of roll bar mounts on CC, I struck gold again and found a set " That makes two sets of front brackets in less than 30 days you've acquired. Three sets, but who's counting. I have four sets now. I had one set originally. I purchased two sets from CC members. I found one set on a mj that I didn't know had them, until I looked.
  8. I run the 34 DL in all my Jeeps except one '87 MJ. The AC line cuts across the battery tray and the bigger battery won't fit.
  9. I think this subject has been pretty well pro and conned to death. Why don't everybody just knock off with the yaks and one of you take your '86 to a dealer and report back on the results. I have four '86 MJ'S and I don't care if they will honor a recall for me or not. Brakes don't work? I fix 'em.
  10. Would a short bed work, or do you need a long bed?
  11. Seems like the indentation on the firewall was wider than normal. Didn't they widen them mid year? What does the VIN tell you on these two? 1JTWL6512GT008808 1JTHL6514GT092879
  12. Not ignoring you Pat. Just don't want to sell. But then I don't need 14 trucks either. Let me think about it.
  13. 1JTWL6574GT028028. Why?
  14. With a good looking job like that, who needs factory.
  15. Bring that long bed roll bar with ya.
  16. If I were buying, not over $500. If I were selling, Not less than $3,000.
  17. Got it! $300 and a couple Cuban cigars. The damn thing's a rust bucket. Got a couple scratches in the paint and nobody patched them. Going to take me 10-15 minutes with a Brillo pad to remove all the rust. Also got a AX15 and a two 231's he had laying on the ground. No front bumper.
  18. I never saw one in my yard, until I looked for it.
  19. From his asking price, over twice what a stripped MJ is worth, and calling it a '85 tells ya the guy ain't to bright. Still waiting for him to call so I can go take a look at it.
  20. After reading several ads and posts concerning roll bars but no brackets I had to look. Found a nice set of front brackets on a '87. No rear. NO, they're not for sale. Just had to sound off about them. Might be something to look for next time you're JY scrounging. They can be spotted by looking thru the gap between the cab and bed. Don't have to crawl on the ground. Look for the mounting holes in the bed. Give you a clue.
  21. Was it running before you added the fuel pump? Is the fuel pump circuit what's burning, or something else?

  23. The extra 'E' is for all that effort he put into it.
  24. Darn it Don. Now you got me curious. If I can find my pressure gauge, I think I know where it's at, I'm gonna be running the test on a 'couple' engines and see. :hmm:
