  1. BANJOS? Get a dual track tape recorder. Run the banjo thru first' Get a guitar. Start the recorder and tape the second track. Voila. Your now playin 'Dualin' Banjos' by yourself.
  2. Depending on your transfer case, putting it in neutral does not dis engage the front and rear drive shaft. You will drag the rear tires until something breaks in the TC.
  3. Drop the rear drive shaft. Either remove it completely and cover the transfer tail shaft to keep dirt out, recommended, or leave it in the TC and tie the loose end to the chassis. Either remove or slip a bag over the UJoint so you don't lose the cup and bearings.
  4. Thought from the Greatest Living Scottish Thinker--Billy Connolly: "If women are so bloody perfect at multitasking, how come they can't have a headache and sex at the same time?" :dunno:

If every Jeep in the world was lined up bumper to bumper, somebody would pull out and try to pass. :shake:

  9. October 2009 I popped the hood on this baby for a 'tune-up', Got started and didn't know when to quit. Rolled it out this afternoon. Rebuilt the engine, 472 CI, Bored .030 over. .010-010 rods and mains. Isky 3/4 cam,. TH400 rebuilt with B&M parts including bands and shift kit. Paint DuPont Canary yellow. 3 coats. 1 coat clear. The seats are going in Monday for reupholstering. Then a new top. Was planning on having it done in a month or so. Just didn't work out that way. I will painfully kill the first AH that puts a scratch on it.
  10. Aircraft carriers are made out of styrafoam. They're really quite light, contrary to what they appear to be. How in Heck do you spell 'styafoam?
  11. Actually the 2.8's were very good engines. In the '86-'87 years they had a problem with the cam bearing going out due to insufficient oiling due to the cam bearings oil hole being to little. This gave them a bad rap. When I heard that I solved it by drilling a 1/2 inch hole thru the block to the cam bearing. Then installed a oil reservoir in the hole. Every couple thousand miles I fill the reservoir with 10-30 Quacker State. Got 432,767.3 miles on it and ain't had a bit of any problems. :jump:
  12. Boulder isn't really a part of Colorado. It's just a separate concave located inside Colorado state boundary, similar to the Vatican being located inside Italy. :shake:

Being a world traveler one thing I've noticed. You can always find a Jeep, somewhere. Same can't be said for Ford, Chevrolet, Morris, Bently Saab, Volvo, Renault, Fiat, Siat, Yugo, Bmw, etc, etc. I think Volkswagon maybe the next most seen.

  18. Check the ground on the side of the block. Make sure it and the wires going to it are clean.
  19. I have used them a couple times. I was satisfied with their performance. Never had any under the front springs, always the rear but I don't see how that would make any difference.

Nice. Why would you even remotely think about selling it?
  21. Because they don't meet US safety and EPA standards they can not be legally imported or sold in the US. However I know where there's a hole in the US-Mexican border fence big enough to fit one , or two, through.
  22. Well h*ll. New Jerseys' just a bit far to go for just a part.
  23. Go up to her, put your arms around her, look her in the eye and say, "I love you." Then take her out to a nice place for dinner and after ordering but before eating give her a present. A piece of jewelery is always nice.
