  1. Me thinks you exaggerate a wee bit.
  2. I finally got a pic copied but it says I can't use that extension in this community. What ever in h*ll that means.
  3. Don't believe it. Was out trying to clear a path from the door into the garage. Found two complete sets of tow hooks with all mounting hardware and a box full of parts. Can't seem to post a pic. Keeps coming out full size.
  4. I know that everything from the firewall forward is identical on the XJ-MJ, but want to make sure that these aren't the exception. Fella wants $50 for them.
  5. Have someone sit in the Jeep and rock the the steering wheel back and forth. You crawl underneath and look at every joint, u-joint and fittings for movement.
  6. There is a serious flaw in the sensors as they will only activate with a larger aircraft. A smaller one, such as a Piper J3 or TaylorCraft will not trigger the light.
  7. Could you please expand on your answer? Why do you think P235's would be better? :dunno:
  8. Masking tape. Steady hand.
  9. Out of 12-13 MJ's Ive been thru, only a couple had CATS.
  10. It looks like oak flooring to me. Beat me to it.
  11. There are two fuses for the radio. A 15 Amp in the fuse panel, and if it's stereo, a 5 amp behind the radio.
  12. The needles are just a friction fit on the shaft. Very carefully move the needle to zero, if it's reading high, or to the high end of the scale if it's reading low. Just brushing out the dust, with a brush, shouldn't have moved the needle. Are you sure there's nothing else wrong?
  13. Don ( CENSORED) out it.
  14. The last time I grabbed a new technical gadget she slapped me.
  15. Sometimes progress is good. But not when it's forced upon us. :fs1:
  16. It's going to be there for a couple days. Grab yer camera and git out here.
  17. Buried the damn thing in a mud hole up to the door handles. Had to walk a mile back home.
  18. Have you considered the possibility of both the clock and radio being inoperative?
  19. I would think you would want the stiffeners to run the length of the frame and not just half way. What good are they doing if they end at the cab?
  20. I had a cracked fuel line 6 inches from the tank. Out came the torch and coat hanger. Maybe I should have drained the tank first. Haven't seen an explosion like that since I got out of demolitions in the Army. Wife said I was so ugly to start with, the scars on the face will probably be an improvement.
  21. I once collected Corvairs the way I now collect MJ'S. Had 32 0f them at one time. They were nice. I've had some unique cars in my time. '38 Buick convertable. '34 Chevy coupe, '28 Chevy coupe, '54 Daimler. '62 Austen Healy , A couple Mercedes Benz, You get the idea. The car I loved the most, and still own 1968 Cadillac convertable. They could offer me any car on the American market today for it and I wouldn't trade.
  22. Checked them over and over. And all the wires are all brand new. Unfortunately just because a part is new doesn't mean it's good. Especially if it was purchased at the local Wally World or KMart. Purchasing parts from a reputable parts store helps. I have purchased new cable assemblies that were so poorly assembled and sometimes corroded they were useless. The bad thing is when installing a new, rebuilt part you assume it's good so when having a problem you don't go back and recheck it.
