  1. Good ol Texans! Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  2. The carb ones will work, you just have to be creative mounting the pump. My is dead nuts accurate on the gauge. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  3. Is yours a 2.5? I don't recall the spline count but a 2.5 has less spline than a 4.0. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk

this is more so my problem as well. Something I've learned is that you can never have too many cars there. There was a point in time where my 3 brothers and I all shared one little Nissan Sentra due to us all having car troubles. Now we all have running driving vehicles. I have 2 and want more! One breaks down and I drive the other till I get around to fixing it.Exactly. I've never not been able to get to work or where I need to be. Guys at work talk trash to me for driving old stuff. Say I'm cheap and all that. I told them that it has nothing to do with being cheap, it's what I like. I bet I could make a small truck payment on what I spend monthly on my vehicles. 5. What do you guys use for a little oower back support in your bench-equipped MJ's? Short trips are okay but after an hour, I need some support. Been looking at options. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk

Vehicles. '71 K5, '74 F100, '77 F100 (first truck), 79 F150 4WD, '87 MJ, '93 K2500, '06 LJ. No intentions of gettimg rid of any of them. I do not see anything wrong with it. I do get extremely pissed when someone tells me that I shouldn't have that many vehicles or that I should get rid of a few. Recently my gf's dad (her and I have been together 8 years and living together 7) was over and decided that he should tell me I should get rid of a few of them. Out of sheer respect for my gf, I just told him that I didn't want to and left it at that but I really wanted to tell him to mind his own effing business. All the same, if I had more room, I'd buy more. Lol Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  7. Lol. Perfect. Thanks for the reply. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  8. I am looking at replacing the interior and need to know the quantity of material to order. I would go out and measure BUT I amat work and don't have a tape and I'd like to get it ordered right now so I can get to work on it on my days off. Thanks. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  9. What exactly fell out when you took it apart? Looks like you still have to remove the race. http://www.harborfreight.com/automotive-motorcycle/pullers/slide-hammer-and-bearing-puller-set-5-pc-62601.html Sorry for the multiple posts. I used this on my '06 LJ a while back when I changed the bearing on it.
  10. I will probably pull the tranny and replace everything. Is there a particular brand people are sticking with for slave and clutch master cylinders? This truck sat for 20 years before I got it so I'm slowing finding seals going out all over so little by little I'm fixing various leaks, so I am truly not surprised by the slave or master cylinder failing.
  11. Bent housing perhaps? Or ball joints. That would be a better place to start. lol
  12. It is an AX5. That seems plausible. Thanks. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  13. I have been using Tapatalk lately. Download it (it is free) and find Comanche Club in the search bar, come back to this thread and when you go to post a response, there will be a little deal you can click on to add am image. Super easy. The pilot bushing/bearing should he tapped all the way into the crankshaft until it is seated as far in as it will go. In order to get them out, it is typically required to use a small slide hammer. I find it odd that one would come out like yours did, but I guess anything is possible. 14. Just saw that it was free, but still, it is probably not worth swapping it in. A Ford 8.8 would probably suit you better. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  15. Unfortunately, you bought a less desirable 9". If it did in fact come from an F100, it has 28 spline shafts and small bearing ends iirc. Been a while since I really dived into it but that sounds right. The F150s had 31 spline shafts and large bearings ends. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  16. I prefer AX15s. They can still be bought brand new which is a big plus for me. When the 6 speed in my LJ took a dump, I swapped a brand new AX15 in it's place. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  17. JK axles all the way imo. If it is trussed already, you're set. Better unit bearings, ball joints, u joints, brakes, etc. It's gonna be work but you can get all the swap info you want on many TJ build threads since that's where I see the most swaps. Since the suspension on a TJ is virtually identical to an MJ, should provide a pretty accurate guide for how to do it. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  18. Until it stops. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  19. 80k seems to be the new norm for high-end vehicles these days. Crazy. Guy at work just bought a '17 F-450 Platinum. Sticker was 83k...for a pickup! His payment every month is almost what I paid for my Comance. lol
  20. If I'm not mistaken the second one is just an accessory to the first one so you would need both to do what you need to do. I might buy it someday. Could be nice to have. I trust no one, so I'm all about doing stuff yourself, even if it isn't cost effective. Knowing how to do it is worth more to me. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  21. A buddy of mine still uses them. Keeps people from busting up the column to start the truck. It also locks the shifter if it is an auto on the column. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  22. When I first got my MJ running after it sat for nearly 20 years, the clutch would "catch" when the pedal was nearly all the way out. It stayed that way up until recently. I do not recall an exact moment that it happened, but one day the clutch began engaging sooner. It wasn't gradual at all and it hasn't continue to change engagement positions, but now the clutch engages relatively quickly. I actually noticed it when I was driving around with my girlfriend and realized I was shifting like crap. I was so used to it engaging late that I wasn't giving any gas when it actually started to engage, leading to a rougher ride from my crappy driving. Anyways, at that point I realized the clutch was engaging sooner than usual. Any ideas? Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  23. I've got this for when I do rear ends. https://m.summitracing.com/parts/yga-56072?seid=srese1&cm_mmc=pla-google-_-shopping-_-srese1-_-yukon-gear-axle&gclid=CjwKEAjwoLfHBRD_jLW93remyAQSJABIygGpZkNOIlALmS4wHIOe82wzhNoRF4ln5GSUZ0NaJX8DSBoCe2Xw_wcB You can buy this as an accessory to pull axle bearings. I haven't felt the need for it since I could buy a lot of bearings for the cost of it. If you don't know the history of the axle, it won't hurt to replace them. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  24. You a pretty good fabricator? Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
  25. From just pics alone, I think it would work well. Could even go coils in the rear or coilovers to further reduce your departure angle. You ever wheel at K2 or Wolf's? You would benefit tremendously out there with reduced approach and departure angles. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
