  1. No reason to raise the CoG if you don't have to. As for the wheel base, you're going to be bringing the tires quite aways forward for 100". Without a bed, I believe this would mean relocating the gas tank and moving the spring and shackle hangers forward. You may have to remove a section of frame, depending on how much up travel you want/have. I extended my Toyota's wheelbase 6" (to 116") last spring, and this winter/spring I'm shortening it 16" (to 100").
  2. I'd drive halfway across the country just to drive on it anyways. Guess it's a good idea for trade between the two countries, but getting ahold of the land makes it unrealistic.
  3. Still no behind the seat shots of the 4 door...
  4. Wicked! Look at all that leg room!
  5. Four wheel drive? If 4x2, rotary power... brap, brap, brap!
  6. Depends on area. Toyota pickups for decades were imported into the country without rear bumpers, and Oregon laws say nothing about them. I have no front bumper on the Comanche and one of my Yotas right now, and no rear bumper on my two Yotas or GMC.
  7. Can you post the URL to the actual picture itself? Non-members can't see the pics.
  8. They were supposed to, and Eagle donated an MJ to the cause, but nothin yet.
  9. Well, the 2.5" muff fits the stock piping as if the stock piping was 2.25" (a bit of gap to fill, but not a perfect fit). I should be able to get a used cat from a junkyard for free, right? My reasoning on the thought is since they are used, they're illegal to sell.
  10. I've never driven a 4.0L more than 15 miles, but my 2.5L cruises the highway at about 3 grand (taller tires, stock gears, 3 speed auto), and for passing traffic's sake, the truck seems to be revved up to about 4500 before shifting in town. I don't necessarily consider this high RPMs, but it's certainly not the down-low grunt work in which many of you are referring too. Right now, I'm running the stock exhaust system with a 2.5" Magnaflow for a muff, so maybe the Magnaflow is the issue and reason I have to shift at such high engine speeds, but I don't believe a muffler alone will make that huge of a difference.

Why are there shackles on the rear bumper? I just e-mailed them, politely stating that this truck just isn't worth that much.

I think '91, just like the 4.0L. Nothin like some high output 2.5! I love the green on the outside, and am jealous of the interior too! I want the interior!
  13. Scott, did you just correct yourself? I'm confused. There are 2 main 5 bolt patterns. 5 on 4.5" and 5 on 5.5". One looks quite large, and the other quite small. From what I've heard, Ranger rims will fit on a Jeep with a little die grinder work on the inside lip of the center hole.
  14. I've never seen that rollbar before :hmm:
  15. Looks nice! Can you fit all your lights on there? Any ideas on how you're going to do the cover yet?
  16. Mine's slightly lower and I decided to blame it on the gas tank. Could also have sagged from having a driver over there for 20 years. :dunno:
  17. I'm impressed! Is this a Jeep of yours, Pete? Turns out mine is bent so the center is down 3/8", so I'm axle shopping.
  18. Consider everywhere it sits to not be pretty, whether it's electronics or paint.
  19. I'm having this come up slightly more often myself. Just weird.
  20. After replacing the slave cylinder in one of my trucks, the clutch engaged towards the top of midway through, versus at the floor before replacing it.
  21. That's where mine is, fits great. Too bad my vacuum system sucks too much to enjoy the placement.
  22. The reason I run one is it helps keep the Greenies off the back of the four wheeling community, and noise. After gutting the family Tacoma's cat, and then putting some 3" there instead, there's definitely a noise difference!
  23. I honestly could not figure out how to make the wheels graphite, or any different tone for that matter. And for the blue, is this too purple? Wheel trial #1: If anyone else wants a go at this, have atter! The paint's a tricky bugger with the old striping and different colored front end!
  24. Okay. I suppose my understanding was off on the Magnaflow high-flow cats and such being different. What enables them to take the name? Think my cat's started melting down, so I don't know if it's worth the prices Magnaflow lists.
  25. I understand they flow better, but are they significantly louder? I like my truck quiet.
