I bought a new block and head not knowing what happened to the old one, but always wondering in order to prevent it from happening again. Thought from reading this post that maybe it was a more common thing? :dunno:

When assembling the truck my dad said he noticed some some, but I never checked. How will the ball joints differ from normal? We'll be examining it this weekend.

How do I know when their bad? DC suggested awhile back that maybe my axle isn't bent, but my unit bearings are bad. Camber's pretty horrible.

Woohoo! This is what my old motor had done on piston #2! I personally think the cause was this:

So is it the bolt end or the tie rod end? I ended up welding the bolt end in to place due to me not liking it. It will Not be loosening up on me, and if my track bar has a problem, I'll be cutting it off to get something that won't have a problem.

I thought it'd be neat to have a thread to show off ideas and get feedback, kind of like we did with Cole's paint job and stuff. Anyways, chopped my truck last night: Fenders cut to fit 35s instead of 31s, bobbed bed, and fancy fender flares like these:

I've got questions on your rear protection... How thick is that diamond plating would you estimate? Is it aluminium or steel? How did you bend it? And lastly, how is it attached?

:bowdown: Just got the She Wants Revenge CD last week. I had the luck of seeing them in concert with Rock Kills Kid, and Electric Six. How are they? I love the CD, but can't imagine what a show would be like if not on acid. To be honest, I hated them when I saw them. I had a cold, was in a smoke filled club, and was expecting Electric Six on at 9:00. Reality was that Electric Six was not on till 12:30. I do remember the song Tear You Apart being really good live. About a month later, I listened to them again, and LOVED them. Out Of Control is one of my favorite songs. Check out Rock Kills Kid when you get a chance. Songs, Hide Away, and Are You Nervous. I can't be much of help on this... Can someone explain the CAD thing to him? You want to bob the bed. Here's a linky on how to do it on a Yota, and it's practically the same thing for a Comanche, but you'll need to reinforce the rear crossmember. http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/tech/bobbed_bed/ You cut the out a section of the bed, and cut off the frame behind the shackle hanger, so there's no issue with the leaf springs.

Is Anyone building their own steering? It looks super simple...

What are the plans on the front axle since the Dana 30 can only go down to 4.88s? The FF sounds sweet

CW, the one in the 2nd pic was a 2wd straight axle for a JeepSpeed guy, but was still mega beef, and most if could be used on the Dana 30, minus the loss of ground clearance.

Cold snap + SoCal? Non comprende. Are your LCAs hitting the mount on the axle at all?

Camera question: Is there anyway to make a digital camera capture what my eyes see, and not have it alter colors and lighting? I like my pictures to be realistic, not necessarily "beautiful." And some pictures! Night mode working wonders (only thing I use it for is fire) And not night mode I guess I just like taking pictures of friends and my trucks really.
