  1. After playing with the welder and grinder my dad and I fabbed up a new tailgate lever out of stainless steel and sprayed it satin black, just have to put it back together and I'll have a working tailgate again
  2. if that happened Jim the trail rated badge would actualy mean something!
  3. Thanks bruin it's always nice to have options! I've thought about the 2x2 box steel before as well.... Hmmm :smart:
  4. Leave the key in the on position so it pumps the gas in... Usually helps mine start a tad quicker
  5. Look for 2" Lift sway bar links it should help smoothen everything because like Newfie said it's holding the coils down making it a rough ride and the "shock" for the front is called a steering stabilizer
  6. Hey guys I was wondering where you bought your perches from when you did a SOA, I have a dana44 rear and I was looking at the bluetorchfabworks perches for 39.99 on 4wheelparts.com Thanks in advance -Nick :wavey:
  7. I remember reading on here that one type of pad for the rear swells with condensation and causes the rear tires to lockup easily... I'm pretty sure it's ceramic and I know you guys are talking about fronts... Ive been running duralast pads since last may and theyre quiet and clean and holding up pretty well for my granny driving style and I figured I'd throw my 2 cents in about the rears :wavey:
  8. That's melted plastic from the fuses melting :ack: and I've checked both sides of the firewall and there's no fluid anywhere
  9. Nope I've been keeping an eye on it, it was a old problem that came back to haunt me... My dad had a aftermarket deck installed years ago and the guy put the hot lead into the tailight fuse spot because when you turn the truck on the radio would be on... But one of holding pins is missing causing it to arch to the next fuse spot  Just another gremlin...
  10. Unless your backerboard is toast why would you spend 135 on a headliner when you can buy 2 yards of fabric for like 30 bucks and 2 cans of adhesive for like 7.99 each
  11. Put my Camaro all back together in 5 hours on Tuesday and today it's moving outta the driveway and making room for the Manche!!!! I just need shocks, rims and swaybar discos and a rear brakeline... I'll pickup the 95 Dakota brakeline today(hopefully) within a couple weeks it should be a totally different truck :wrench: Ps I'm selling the camaro, any takers :P
  12. Yep there's one in war of the worlds and I've seen one in a cartoon show my little brother watches, I've also seen one on a boat racing show on the speed channel :wavey:
  13. Check some of the bushings on the clutch pedal assembly,My pedal goes 1/4 down before anything happens because of some of the bushings in the assembly itself, I've bled the clutch 3-4 times and that didn't help so I checked the assembly and sure enough... if you drop the tranny you'll be able to check if your slave is still intact as well as the clutch/pressure plate
  14. There's a couple people in MA buttttt if you wanna come down to NY and do my floorpans with your magical metal work that'd be great :wrench: :D
  15. Did you change both u-joints? Check to see if all the balancing weights are still on your rim... Had that happen to me once

  22. I tried with a few flatheads and nothing did the trick :dunno: I'll try again tomorrow with pliers since I know what to grab now and thanks for the link, I knew I've see a thread about it before and I even posted in it  -Nick
  23. I want to build one but I already have a pickup trailer from an old datsun
  24. In order for one to make their own they must first open the tailgate! Which I don't know how to do! I see the little scissor mechanism but I can't see up above that :help:
