  1. I checked out the top before I drove up and I would've made it.. The departure angle wasn't that bad at all and I wouldn't of high centered but I didn't wanna risk anything bad happening lol
  2. Got to test it out some more today after trimming somemore up front 8) here's a poser shot And my action shot! Almost made it but I was scared of pushing that skinny pedal anymore
  3. I have a d44 and the guy behind the counter didn't say anything about 8.75  I'll give them a call but thanks foreman!
  4. Hey guys my rear axle is leaking and pretty bad too, I went to the parts store to pickup a new seal and the guy brought 2 up to the counter and asked which size ring gear I have... I said I have a stick so it has 3.07 gearing so what I'm asking is what size is the ring gear? 7.25" or 7.5" Thanks in advance -Nick
  5. Perches came in yesterday, I'm going to order the u-bolts today as well as the pinion seal... Got to do some more trimming and take it for a test drive to see where I need to trim in the rear and how much I'm going to have to bumpstop... I know you guys love pics so here yah go :wavey:
  6. Try just a hair dryer and peel slowly and if that doesn't go so well let goo gone soak on the sticker for a few minutes and it will come right up
  7. My rear fenderwells are haunting me and telling me to cut them out and give them fresh new metal :help: keep working! I wanna see the finished product
  8. I'm thinking about keeping it lifted at like 3 inches, putting in my adj uppers and lowers to center the tire in the middle of the wheelwell, bigger bumpstops and trimming and leaving it like that... Except a re-gear down the road... 33s and 3.07s isn't horrible an theres still some power but 5th gear isn't usable uphill.... Decisions decisions :help: I was going to work on the doors tomorrow but I got 2 inches of snow this evening! It was 72 degrees out a few days ago!!!!!
  9. Yup when I finish them I'll do a writeup on it
  10. Couldn't wait to put the tires on so I said what the heck I'll just throw them on for 5 minutes and then I drove it up and down my block then I trimmed the front fenders and now they fit fine! Whoever says you can't fit 33s with 2 inches of lift is lying! Check it out
  11. The Dakota line will do for DD...and I forgot to mention the ubolts  my driveshaft should be fine if I read correctly... I have ax15 and a dana44 so it's the same length as a aw4-d35 driveshaft right?
  12. Just want to make sure I have everything I need to put my lift on.. Ill be going 6.5 and SOAing the rear and id like to do this without having to make any trips to the store when I'm halfway there  I have coils, adj upper and lower control arms new adj trackbar and mount(thanks again Sinkrun) new YJ brakelines, new 95 Dakota brakeline for the rear, I'm getting skyjacker 6.5 shocks this week, bought 15x8 d-windows with 33s today, have new brake pads for all around that I'll put on too and I'm getting a new u-joint for the rear driveshaft Thursday... Perches are ordered thanks to eagles link :wavey: I hope I have everything and would like to thank those who have answered all my questions! -Nick
  13. I'll be replacing the pinion seal tuesday and maybe do an oil change, but today I picked up another set of 33/12.5/15s with D-window rims...the tires are Mickey Thompson Baja claws and they're shot but they'll last me a few months
  14. I can take pics for you I have the same year and setup except I have 4wheel drive.... I'm not ripping stuff apart but I'll help as best I can I'm sure there's few more people who can do the same
  15. Ditto  Me 3 :waving:
  16. I have 2 85 yamaha moto-4s still running like tops, only one has had an engine rebuild due to rolling into the pond :doh:other then that it's hard to kill yamahas! Goodluck with it!
  17. You can find used pucks for like 25 bucks and the chevy drop shackles are like 40.... Just take off the old shackle and put the new one in its place... Up front I disconnected the lower control arms the shocks and the brake calipers, then pulled the coil out and stuck the puck in and put the coils back in.... Then put everything back together, it's easier to get stuff to line up if you put both lower control arms on at the same time  Good luck
  18. Hahahahaha I've fit 4 people before... It's possible to fit 3 but it isn't that comfty :shake:
  19. Welp after gathering up enough courage to take a dremel to my hinges I started cutting so I could be doorless during the summer months and I also bought a set of YJ soft half doors awhile back and I cleaned them up a bit, I have to finish up the hinge and beat the pins out..... Such a pain but I don't want to take the torx bolts off and have to realign the doors... Here's a mock up pic of the soft doors in place :help:
  20. Found a set of d-windows for 100 big ones locally and my friends selling me a set of 6.5 skyjacker shocks for 80... Woot woot! my trucks Finally getting some parts put on it!
  21. I wouldn't sit in your truck if I was paid to... I'd be too afraid of sitting on needles! Just cut a piece of 1/4 wood about 3/4" too ling width wise and stick it between the a-b pilar trim or just take the headliner out and spray the backerboard with 3m adhesive! There's a few diy threads on headliners out there
  22. I'm hoping to go Friday June 3rd until Saturday afternoon and drive back after rush hour in NYC
  23. Need shocks, swaybar discos and a set of 15x8 rims.... It's killing me to have all the parts and not have it lifted already!
  24. Got the tailgate all back together and the new handle works like a charm  I think it looks oem :brows:
  25. That motor is looking good in there but I don't think I'd ever take on a wiring project like that in my life!!!! Keep on going! :wrench:
