liability right now cuz frankly it isnt worth any more to me each month, I don't have that much into it yet. but if I take everything off my big XJ and put it on the MJ, I'll look into getting it insured for a dollar amount. My big jeep has some kind of "pleasure vehical" policy with limited mileage and blah blah blah

ahahaha I got hit right behind the cab corner in the bed by a parked truck! It slid out of an icy driveway and into my parked truck. So my parked truck got hit by another parked truck.

whatever I have time to grab on the way out the door! Sometimes its a 2liter of soda and a bag of chips, other times its left over tri tip steak with apples! poptarts are always close by, and all sorts of granola bars. HungryMan dinnners if I know I a going to have access to a microwave or cans of chili, mac and cheese, tuna, or cans of soup! and then there is 7-11...

would you mate the harnesses or just rip out the Renix one and completely replace it with the HO harness?

did you calibrate the new TPS when you installed it?

Removing pinion nut.
Exxon Valdez Jeep replied to jimoshel's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yeah the whole channel lock method doesn't fare too well when the pinion nut is actually torqued down to whatever insanely large force is required. I've always had somebody step on the brakes while I loosen it or loosen it while its on the ground with the tires and wheels, and in park. -
got mine non running with 114k and every mile since (roughly3-4k) I got it running has been bad! two slave cylinders gone out, replacement AX15 was bad, NV3550 has its fits when cold, head gasket went out, blow-by, but no rust!!!! Eventually all the bad parts will be weeded out... I hate this truck when it has its fits and love it when it works.

I think he was living in that thing with the mattress in the back, or he's a pedophile! -
Solids on my MJ, $55-$65 depending where you get them. The beefiest (IMHO)is the RuffStuff D30 cover, its 1/2" plate and you can get counter sunk holes and its around $100. But it was kind of a pain cuz the bolt holes didnt quite line up right, but in all fairness, that was 5 years ago and it might be fixed now. I'm running A RuffStuff D60 cover on the XJ and a Ballistic on the 14bolt on the XJ. I bought an ARB D44 cover as a gift for a friend and it was super blingin, but they don't make them for the 8.8 and I wanted matching covers front and rear on the MJ. The ARB cover is like $180 too  Those are a few of the diffcovers I have owned. :D

they do on the very bottoms of the flares. I cut one on the passenger rear, hated it, and havent cut any other yet. I'm getting some glass flares for the front when I do a 97+ front end and I am undecided what on the rear. My big XJ is flareless but I think I'm going to try either front 97+ flares on the rear or maybe some painted to match rear TJ flares. I'll cross that bridge later though. and I found some factory MJ buckets with sliders today. Now I just need some nice grey seat! I'm getting rid of the Corbeaus, just too much of a hassle for a DD.- 78 replies

Nope, I'm not putting money into this 4.0 other than what I have to. I just put the new head gasket on and am in the process of putting everything else back on.- 78 replies

I gotta agree with H3Resq, but I think you get what you pay for. I'm sure its a decent bumper and all as long as the tow points are solid. But its not the "best looking". Its cheap, otherwise comanche owners wouldnt buy it. I mean really, probobaly most everybody on here didnt pay over $1000 for out stock trucks.
