Which slave cylinder?
Jackrabbit41 replied to onlyinajeep726's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Just get a pre bled master and slave complete assembly out of the year that that tranny came out of. Thats what i did and had no problems what so ever -
I talked to him again and he told me that theres lift blocks in the front. Thats bad isn't it? he also says the leaf spring shackles look like 2 drunk buddies threw them together. lol

I just talked to my uncle and he's pretty sure someone swapped in the chevy 4.3 v6 an days theres a lot of tacky/half @$$ work.
-
So I just got a call from my uncle and he owns a RV and Mobile home park in Mesquite, NV (lives in OR though most of the time) and one of his residents couldn't pay their rent so they gave him their 87 Wrangler YJ. It has a v6 and a 5 speed and a posi, is that stock? Has BFG mud terrains and some sort of lift. He thought it had a locker, but it just has the cable actuated CAD, as do i in my comanche. He likes it other then it's drivability. It has leafs on all corner. It has power steering too. What he wanted to know (I'm just helping him out) is how can he make this thing better to drive. I told him he could do a coil spring conversion and he's willing to drop 2000 on it. He has a full time mechanic who can do everything so labor isn't a problem. He's had plenty of jeeps in his day so he's not new, but he just doesn't know much about this and wants to make it easier to drive. Any suggestions on what to do? here's some pics: "> http:// ">http://http://s1148.photobucket.com/user/Jackrabbit123/media/IMG_4692_zpsqqou1gsx.jpg.html'>

1987 comanche first car

So I'm in my garage waiting for my cousin to help here with her car because her car leaks coolant like a sieve, and i noticed one of the spider gears is all chewed up in the HP30. Well they didn't remember to fix them, so i gotta take it back to them tomorrow. I specifically told them to fix them. The carrier i brought them had spider gears they were/still are all chewed up and I knew that and told them. It was obvious, they should've noticed as they are a PROFESSIONAL shop. It just pisses me off because they don't write anything down. They forgot my phone number now this. wtf... and... they left a rivet in the diff. This thing was sizable, could've done some damage. -

So I ordered my shocks last week and for some reason I only ordered 1 rear and 1 front thinking that they came in pairs. I don't know why I thought that. I'm just pissed cause I spent my money some other stuff so now i can't do the swap this weekend. I was all excited to finally start but i guess I'm going to have to wait even longer. If anyone wants to buy by 1 front and 1 rear, I won't complain.... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009FU6PWI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004WO12LQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 here's a pic of a new PCV valve I drilled and tapped into the diff. clutch master cylinder

I got mine at napa -
Now you're on the right track. But there should already be a hose in your engine compartment for venting the front differential. It should come up on the driver's side, somewhere in the vicinity of the brake booster. It'll be black, with a white nylon thingie in the upper end. Thanks I'll look for that

Ya I'm going to go get a smaller one.

Spent most of the day fixing my wiring so it looks better. I put 3/8s and 1/4inch split loom around most of my accessory wires and tomorrow I'm going to install my new toggle switches onto my switch panel and wire them up. -
I'm going to drill and tap a hole for this and put a rubber hose up into the engine bay. ">http://http://s1148.photobucket.com/user/Jackrabbit123/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsuculhh49.jpeg.html'> I might go back and get a small one though because I'm not sure that washer will fit on the housing

So when I was welding on my homemade"truss" some how or another a bead ended up in the vent hole in my HP dana 30. The shop that put 4.10s in it noticed that and told me to put a pressure control valve mounted backwards on the diff cover so that the pressure can escape because it's a live axle. How would I go about doing this the best way? Or what should I do? Thanks

clutch master cylinder
Jackrabbit41 replied to 86manche207's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
True but a bad slave can cause the master to have a small slow leak around the fuse box . I was told that by a local mechanic becuase right after I put in a brand new master, it started oozing -

Finally got the HP30 back. Turns out they didn't have my number so that's why they didn't call. I should've called earlier but whatever -

I had the same thing and it was my slave. If you replace one without the other one of them fails soon after due to different pressures. Make sure it doesn't get on your fuse box! If you have an internal good luck. -

I just watched a video of your rig on some random youtube channel. pretty cool and ya I'm planning on getting a roll of some of that insulator type plastic stuff and that'll hopefully make it look cleaner too. -

Another funny/random story for y'all: Up here in Bellingham, Wa there is lots of Canadians that come down from Vancouver to hang out and most of them are terrible drivers (no offense to any Canadians out there!) and when i was coming home from practicing lacrosse with my friends I saw a car on the train tracks. I didn't stop at first then i though that i could winch them off, so i turned around and hooked my strap to there rear left A Arm. It was a Toyota corolla or something so i didn't have much options. Once I started pulling with my 8k winch it came right off the tracks and onto the street. It was fun plus they paid me 50$ so i was stoked. More money for the jeep! The cop told me that this happens all the time so maybe ill get to do it again. Sadly i didn't get any pictures. -
