-
I'm worried about that as well but they werent that expensive and you can return them so we shall see
-
Will do I'll post them on my build thread

My 8.8 has a lsd so that'll be nice. I've done a lot of dune riding on my atv but never in a comanche. My uncle brought his 51 willy's last year and that thing was a hoot until he smashed oil pan

I just ordered 7 blue LEDs for the dash. Pumped to put them in

Thanks! I never thought about lightening the front end but id like to get a synthetic cable anyway for safety reasons. The 5 or so times I've used my winch it always scares me a little bit.

Probably my favorite comanche. For that side dump, did you make that black piece that surrounds the pipe or buy it?

Rear Main Oil Pan Question.
Jackrabbit41 replied to 1992EliminatorSWB4x4's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Ive done my RMS 2 times since September and the first time I had the tranny out and it was still a PITA to get out. Second time I had the front axle out of there and it was easy. Remember to soak your RMS in oil before you put it in and put a dab of sealant on the ends where the rubber gasket halves meet. -
I just bought new stock beef springs from general spring. 4 day shipping!

Speedo and Clicking sound (unrelated)
Jackrabbit41 replied to Jackrabbit41's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The clicking isn't from the speedo. I've had that problem before and this is a different click but thanks anyway -
I had the same problems, but then I found this: http://comancheclub.com/topic/35519-55-600-mj-lift-cheap-high-quality-100-complete-lift-please-read-note/ I installed all of it last weekend and it drives perfect but now looks dope. A lot of the parts are cheaper in Amazon

Pinion angle shims
Jackrabbit41 replied to Jackrabbit41's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
It's funny because I stopped by a good mechanic here in town and it took him and I awhile to figure it out. Haha -
Pinion angle shims
Jackrabbit41 replied to Jackrabbit41's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
It's at 6 degrees right now and I need around 8. I already have 2.5 degree shims because assumed Id need them -
So I need to put in 2 degree shims. This light seem stupid but does it matter what way they go in? I've thought about it a lot and can't figure it out.

Not sure what relay clicking is but I do not have a brake controller and brake lights are fine. -

Thanks I'll check it out later. And my caliper Bolts are plenty tight. It sounds like it's coming from under the dash somewhere but I'm not entirely sure. -
These two questions are completely unrelated. The clicking I'm going to describe isn't from the cable. (Cable used to click but not anymore). First: Ever since AX15 swap speedo hasn't work at all. It won't even move. The cable works fine with a drill on the end of it, speedo gear isn't the right tooth but It is in good condition, and the gear in the T-case is also good. When I put the speedo gear into the T-Case it feels like they are meshing but maybe not? I need a new speedo gear due to 4.10s and tire size but do y'all think that'll fix it? Second: Ever since this Sunday after my axle swap, I have this weird clicking noise that is always there other then when I'm braking hard or going down a hill. It sounds like plastic tapping plastic pretty fast and doesn't really change much. What could it be? thanks. It comes and goes but is mostly going. Thanks

1987 comanche first car
Jackrabbit41 replied to Jackrabbit41's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
The 4.10s are nice, much more torque and going 25 is a lot easier now because 2nd used to not like it and neither did 3rd. I haven't been on the free way yet but hopefully I don't get any drive shaft vibes and hopefully it'll make it to 70 mph. -

Best picture I could take of it so far. Everything's going good. I went to get an alignment yesterday but they wouldn't do it until I fixed the tie rod ends and control arm bushings. I want to get the OTK from Iron rock but I don't have the money so i just got 2-25$ replacement ends from them, but I did get fixed lower arms and adjustable uppers coming in the mail in a week or so. I took a loan from my parents. Ive been doing a lot of welding for friends so Ive been making some nice cash so hopefully I can pay them back after I sell this weight rack I've made for a local gym. I'm running all that except for the 242, I'm 231 and the axle is in the same spot. There plenty of room for the extra inch or so you get from the adapter

This is awesome there are already 2 local guys here in Bellingham that have reached out to help a new Jeep owner! Can't say that of the other forums I use for various reasons...thanks for the warm welcome Lee and 8valve! It's weird you work at fanatik I just saw a really cool vinyl wrap on a newer crew cab truck with Fanatik on the side. I used to work at a shop that did wraps, and that one still got my attention! We'll all have to grab a beer sometime so I can pick your brains on jeep stuff I'm here in BHAM too. I you ever need anything just PM me
