  1. If you want true long arms, 1k prolly won't get good quality lift, unless you buy the tubing and build it yourself. Ive seen a couple of 6" long arm kits and they are around 1,500+ range.
  2. Id say around 2k would be pretty fair. The body looks to be in pretty good shape, much better than many Ive seen. The mechanical issues may seem bad but actually are pretty normal for these trucks/motors and can be run on without too much permanent damage. Having fresh fluids and filters and other small things can def help the price stay up for you. Or keep it and slowly work on it. Its been around for 20+ years, why not another 20
  3. I would too. Although the yard would almost turn into a jy itself, being only MJs of course
  4. While I was out and about today, I was very excited to see another Comanche However, it was at the junkyard I went to :( but its always a good day when I get to see one other than my own.
  5. Very cool great looking MJ as well
  6. If you switch your existing headlight buckets from side to side they will work with the new header panel. side to side like I switch the left bucket to the right side and vice versa?
  7. Its been awhile since Ive done much. Got this Cherokee I'm fixing up and tryin to resell so that has taken priority. Anyways, about 2 weeks ago I picked up a roll bar and extra set of tail lights courtesy of ctrow: So thatll go on as soon as I get rid of the Cherokee and repaint the bar. Today, I went over to Elkton, VA to buy a rear bumper for said Cherokee and while I was waiting for it, I found myself looking through other Cherokees they had on the lot and got myself into some trouble :clapping: buying more stuff. I'm now committed to the 97+ header panel conversion. Just need the rest of the panel. I'm guessing the headlights are the same?? :hmm: I'm hoping to get the Cherokee sold within a month or two so I can really crack down on my manche, she needs some lovin too.
  8. thats great. but you probably had to work a 13 hr shift in the fall :fs1:
  9. :agree: Could use some more/better info in order to help.
  10. sweet video. Those are some intense activities
  11. technically its at 0200 on the 11th. At 0200 Sunday morning, it goes to 0300
  12. So whats this plan to water proof the cab?
  13. Ive had one back there. It was a lawn chair not mounted or anything. ;) served its purpose though
  14. Well I'm guessing you meant to say 'guess' and then I would guess you're installing and then driving through some mud? Wish mine was ready for some of that stuff
  15. Looks good so far. Very clean MJ don't see em like that much
  16. Congrats Jim. I came back to the forum regularly a couple months ago and your stories are always great reads. I wish I was out in the CO area to meet/talk MJ with you. Congrats on the honor! :clapping:
  17. :rotf: great story. sounds like something i would do.
  18. :agree: Love the stripe! Unfortunate way to come upon such a wonderful truck. Good luck with the resto
  19. :agree:   :rotfl2:
  20. I've loved jeeps in general since i got my license 7 years ago. But I'm also a truck guy, so what's that come to?? The perfect match of truck/jeep/reliability/easy to work on. When I started looking for cars, I found out about this ole' jeep truck thing they don't make anymore and wanted one instantly. I love the rarity of the MJ and the simplicity of the Jeep. It might be old and need lots of work, but I don't ever want to get rid of it, even if it becomes a trail rig only and gets driven a few miles a year.
  21. That looks great! All done by you?
  22. Back from the dead bump. You really dug deep for this thread :clapping: 1. I'm a "traitor" (grew up in UVA land and went to VT) 2. I believe nothing is better than a nice cold beer after a long days work 3. I wanted a Jeep for 5 years before I bought my first MJ (I'm 23) 4. My aunts and uncles spread the entire country and I only have 6 5. The next truck I buy will definitely be either another MJ or a Raptor
  23. It'll hold...until you drive it ;) d44s are relatively easy to come by that bolt right up and are pretty strong. Or one tons, not sure exactly which one would work best.
  24. :rotfl2: small pics. click on it, itll get bigger. thats what she said
  25. Learn something everyday  The one tone does look a lot better.
