  1. Can we use the Ruff Stuff 3/8" weld on brackets and Napa Chevy front calipers to convert rear D44 to disc brakes? Anyone Runnin this setup on their MJ?
  2. Reubj- I showed my ignorance again. The pickup coil aka stator, camshaft position sensor, sync pulse generator, etc. fits into this equation as you suggested. I have found the test for it and will check when I can. I hate my lack of knowledge! Rather be riding than wrenchin, rather be wrenchin than readin!
  3. Don't be skeert of the bright-n-shiny!
  4. Noriyori_Kudo: gonna refresh grounds, again. Will check the coil ground for sure. 1987Comanche: not surprised at all, I've pulled em all and brightened them up and yep there is some corrosion to be dealt with. Reubj: I'm not gettin fire from the coil when it dies so I assume problem is upstream from the distributor. My main point of interest in the fuse panel is if there are any connections there that can be compromised by bad connection or corrosion that would affect spark directly or indirectly, I guess I'm asking if the vehicle can be killed by any circuit at the fuse panel?
  5. I'm an idiot. The brake master is not what's leaking on the fuse panel, it's the clutch master. So to update. Didn't drive the truck for awhile, we had tons of rain and didn't want to get stranded and soaked. Finally took a chance and drove to town-almost! Comanche just cut off again after 10-12 min. drive. No hesitation no sputter just bam! Down goes Frasier. This time it wouldn't restart even after 30 minutes. Towed it home. I had previously swapped The CPS its new (Napa) it ohmed and volt checked to spec. The old CPS also spec'd out. Problem is spark. Got fuel and pressure always. Dash response always. After it shuts down have no spark upon trying to restart. Got new OE coil. Truck started and ran(would do this intermittently before new coil-random spark generation) idled for at least 30 minutes then died. Wouldn't restart on first try. Did some checking, wiggling, jiggling, praying and tried it again and it started. Some times will restart without touching a thing. No rhyme or reason for spark or no spark. Have yet to check oxygen sensor wires. I have read that those can be compromised and give issues. I will re-refresh all grounds per Cruisers tips. Questions: are any of the sensors themselves able to kill spark signal if sensor bad? I know my fuse panel has contact issues but can the clutch master fluid leak contaminate anything related to spark? Upon last shut down after truck idled for while I'm looking under dash and Ecm is very warm, trouble? I know this ghost has visited others here. Any ideas?

  14. Just watched Matt and Bruno convert a 2 wheel drive 88 MJ with a 97+ conversion to 4x4 with AW4/231 with advance adapter flanges and Dana 30 front and Chrysler 8.25 rear. Not much tech info but awesome MJ with wild orange finish. Hidden winch front bumper! Episode 224 of TruckU on velocity channel(246) on Dish.
