  3. Really there is no paint that's easier to spray then flat/matte black so its a good one for a first paint job.
  4. Are you sure its LA? Lookin at skyjackers 6-8" lifts its a 4 link short arm with a big crossmember that is really just fancy drop brackets.

  6. I painted my sand rail with Rustoleum but I bought quarts and shot it with my HVLP gun. Turned out pretty good. Have you priced automotive paints? industrial single stage shouldn't cost any more then you would pay for the Rustoleum.
  7. I had a nice stereo once,had HD radio and all the bells and whistles. Then one morning I went to go to work and found this. Now I have one of them mechless units that uses SD cards instead of cds,its far less apealing to thieves

  10. Have you checked the plugs for fouling,it would help if you could isolate which cyls are over fueling.

  13. can't help you there, mines gonna be custom. Mines going in the middle between the tubes and tied into the bumper brackets which ties into the plow mounts so it should be pretty stout.

  15. I'm doing the reciever/hitch mount on the front of mine,I like the idea of being able to use the winch front or rear.

  17. you think 31s with 3.55 suck,I've been running 33s. My poor engine is gonna thank me when it gets 4.88s,although it does better then I expected.
  18. Your not alone,a few people have done or are in the proccess of doing the swap. There's even MJs floating around with V8 ZJ drivetrain and interior.
  19. the 2 and 4 wheel drive trannies are the same other then the tail section so they are both ax4s,the ax5 is also the same except it has a 5th gear. Also keep in mind that you most likely have 3.55 gears so if you want bigger tires or a 5spd your gonna want to change gear ratios. The easy way is to find a 2.5l w/5spd and take both axles as they would have 4.10 gears,if you want real big tires you will most likely have to spend some money and regear the axles(I'm going 4.88 with mine),once you have the trans,tcase,and axle only other big thing is drive lines.
  20. Yes its an ax4 but its different from a 4x4 ax4, yours won't accept a transfercase.
  21. I made a rolled pan for mine,looks pretty good on the MJ.
  22. You will need a 4x4 transmission,either an ax4 or you could go to a 5spd and get an ax5.
  23. A D30 can be built to be pretty tough,lots of people run 35s on them. There's a lot of options on putting in a front D44 but converting a rear axle has to be the worst option
  24. Do you know what axle you have now? If its a d35 I would find a d35 from a 4cyl 5spd and swap it in they came with 4.10 gears
