  1. That axle will be a LP30 with CV joints. It is a piece of junk. ahh well I'm glad i only stick to the regular old xj and mj, now i know not to get parts from a grand cherokee lol
  2. lookin good, not sure if you were still looking for a parts cherokee, but this is in kamloops http://princegeorge.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-cars-trucks-1993-Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-limited-SUV-W0QQAdIdZ261778530 might be able to get an axle outa it lol if it wasnt so far away i woulda bought it just for the farm and have a roll over contest.

    your other toys

those are some nice vw's makes me sad that i don't have the time for these 2 old gals (the vw's) or even the gmc and pontiac? . I'm amazed that the big ol cottonwood next to that bettle hasnt dropped any limbs on them yet. You'll have to update on how that buggy is doing. My other toy next to my soon to be car hopefully
  4. guess i had it right the first time and with great dificulty I guess. I don't know how well that front d30 would hold up to 35"s and If i ever decide to go bigger tire size idk? is there any builds of someone putting a d44 up front. Ill put in as much work as possible, not sure how much it will run me tho.
  5. ahh thanks for the replies, glad to know not to rely on that roll bar, I meant d40 not d44 sorry lol, and i mean the rear axle of the 89 to the front of the 86? heard somethings about steering issues. Glad i didnt decide to try to go with the 302/ ax5, still not sure what tranny to go with either, but i figured a v8 swap would be a good learning experience for a 19 yr old. Once again thanks for the replies, now i have some ideas for when the snow melts. Hope to update my build by summers end if i get to work on it lol.
  6. ahh, well the 2.5s got to go to a xj with a blown motor, and i figured it would be cool also give the mj a little more power. What tranny would you reccomend then, also the 302 has the tranny with it as well. Also have a 89 f250 for romping around farm that can use for parts, and the 89? 2wd mj(blown motor) 5 spd as well.
  7. I have a 86 comanche x with the 2.5L and a 5 spd, I'm just wondering what tranny it is so I can order an adapter for when i do a engine swap (modded 302) Since i want to have at least 35" ltbs or bigger under it and that 2.5L may not be up to the task, also gonna move the 2.5 into a 86 xj. I know its gonna be alot of work hopefully not alot of money, i have most of what i need to do in spare parts and shop equipment. Also how hard would it be to lift, and put in a d44 in the front (out of 89 2wd mj). the 302 is actually in the box of the truck under that junk canopy, would be working on it now but ill let the pics do the talking and that was 2 weeks ago, we got another foot and half. Another question were the roll bars factory or aftermarket on the x, sorry for all the questions as well
  8. i didnt know Rosie O'Donnell posed for pictures like that lol
  9. yes, thats what I meant (rear axle of the 2wd to the mj x)sorry was tired. I read a build or two were it was done? If I went 35+ LTBs i don't think that d30 would hold up so well
  10. I'm taking this summer off from work, been saving my money and still saving, anyways I want to do some fishing, some more fishing and of course jeeping lol, but first I got to fix/ upgrade them. Urm anyways here they are don't get disapointed when you see the xj cause bam Okay so the comanche x needs a fuel pump. its the 2.5l 4 cyl, the 2wd mj next to the xj has a shot motor, the xj has a shot motor. Well this is the cunundrum, The xj is bc registered (live and born in b.c), but the two mjs are from alberta, not stolen thats a guarantee, but no papers. So I was going to go and swap the motor from the comanche x to the xj, the xj would be used as a winter driver, well in the mj x's box under that crappy random canopy is a nice little hotrodded ( havent taken a good look at it yet)289 or 302. Anyways plan was an axle swap from the 2wd rear d44 to the front of the x, and maybe shove that v8 into the comanche x, interrior is good, nice dash, havent looked at the floor panels, I will walk out and take some more pics either today or tommorow, need snow shoes practically, 4+feet so no going and checking the axles to be sure. Think the x is a 4-5 spd lol. My goal is to have 35+ ltbs (bigger ltbs) under it, but I don't think that 4 cyl would like that. I've even been looking for a 2wd on the classified or anything that I can use to transfer everything on to but no luck. what do you guys think? any addvice/ suggestions appreciated
