  1. It does go down the road but you will want to eventually regear,I'm going to 4.88s real soon
  2. I was getting mid 16s up to about 18mpg with my 31s,I don't want to know what I'm getting with the 33s. Your truck should have decent power,I'm running 33x12.50s with 3.55s and it still pulls itself down the highway I can't remember, didn't you already put a new o2 sensor in it?
  3. I've got drop brackets and my truck does great offroad. Lots of people use them offroad even in the rocks. Anything that's gonna contact a drop bracket is also most likely gonna contact a long arm. I don't know about off the shelf brackets but I know it would take a lot to damage mine.
  4. http://roughcountry.com/jeep_mj_6.html this will be your best bang for the buck in a kit. for your price range your gonna have to get this or piece together something like it.
  5. Drop brackets are a good idea. I would buy a set of 6" or 6.5" coils and forget the spacers,3" of spacers isnt a good idea and they won't perform like a full coil.
  6. mines a hybrid lift meaning its a mixture of parts,Imo thats the best way to do it. Do your homework find out exactly what you need/want and buy what you need to accomplish it.
  7. you could run OEM arms with it but i would recommend aftermarket arms
  8. Why do you say that? And nice truck  Brandon tire size affects the gear ratio. since the different diameter tires will turn at different speeds, it would be like having your front and rear axle ratios mix matched.
  9. how do you plan to body lift a unibody truck? anything past 3" you need to start adding things
  10. Most metric tons came with the 4.0L
  11. You are aware that that XJs are soa and MJs are sua so they won't just swap also the perches are in different places. What kind of locker are you trying to swap? Are you sure they are both D35s,there were several axle options.
  12. A lift gives you much greater suspension travel and more articulation. It also gets the body, engine, trans,t case, ect..... up off the ground so you not dragging them over stuff and getting high centered. Problem with cutting for bigger tires is that you can only cut so much before your truck becomes a truggy.
  13. Do you have a radiator pressure tester? You could pressurize the radiator and see if coolant is leaking into the cylinders
  14. Why 92 specifically? 92 isn't much different then any other year comanche.
  15. You could buy a cheap leakdown tester or you could buy an adapter to hook up an air compressor for like $2
  16. That would look cool,My XJ is ready to be redone. Not sure what I'm gonna do but I will have a lot of room to work with.
  17. That's weird, I've lifted mine with a forklift and even at full droop it looks ok,once I get the D44 in there its gonna be even better. Wonder if your truck had the wrong shaft, maybe one from a truck with a d44,its just strange that lots of people have soa with stock shafts with no issues but yours had a problem.
  18. You must of had more then just soa,I've never heard of anybody having that issue with just an soa. I've been running mine soa with the stock shaft for a couple years and the trucks been airborne with no problems.
  19. My 90 XJ came w/o the cad,its got over 200,000 on the stock D30 so having the cad isn't gonna make your axle live any longer. As for fuel mileage I took the cad D30 out of my MJ and put in a non cad D30,I saw no change in fuel mileage.
  20. That sucks, looks like it was a decent truck.
  21. Why would you want the CAD to function?
  22. Keep this in mind, the rear sits 1.5 or so higher then the front stock. SOA will only give you about 5" of lift but most people want their truck level,it takes 6-6.5" to do this. If you went soa and 4.5 to 5" up front your truck will have about the same rake as stock. FWIW my MJ at 6.5" is far more stable then my moms TJ at 3"
