  1. What shops doing the pistons and rods? How much are they charging? When I did my EXP. The forged pistons were just over $500 through wiseco and the rods were just under $500 through eagle rods(IIRC)
  2. I just tied the steering box into my bumper mounts
  3. Not really, you could use a jeep to upgrade a ranger but a ranger isn't gonna do much for jeep.
  4. That's not flex. If you want to measure flex/articulation you need to lift one wheel as high as you can before any other tire lifts off the ground. The truck looks a lot better.
  5. If you cut and paste the IMG links from photobucket you can put the actual photos here. Trucks lookin good
  6. Looked over my rock slider parts and took a few measurements, now just to put it together
  7. Did you ever figure out how to post pics? It would be interesting to see your truck. Aren't you glad you didn't sell me the bell housing and bearing retainer
  8. Its interesting but only makes 34hp I guess you could stack them like a Wankel rotory engine and make decent power
  9. It should start without that, have you checked for spark and fuel? Maybe try pouring a little gas in the TB and see it it trys to fire Also when you ask something like this give more info on your truck,I can tell its a Renix 2.5L but others may not.
  10. I wouldn't bother they are usually way overpriced and the front axle isn't much of an upgrade over an HP30. Its a lp44 center section and the rest is pretty much d30,only real advantage I can see is the d44 will except deeper gears then the d30. It wouldn't be a bad axle but IMO its not worth what people are getting for them.
  11. Sounds like your drop pitman arm has thrown off the geometry of the track bar or the track bar is worn out. I would put the stock pitman back on. Why did you put a drop pitman on anyway?
  12. Lots of fire depts have these old trucks, they usually drive them on holidays and in parades with people in the back. I would call some fire depts and see what they have to say about it.
  13. That Garret gt22 seems a bit small for a 2.5l engine, should spool quick though
  14. Upgrading to the 4 hole injectors isn't gonna be enough, stock mpfi injectors should be 19# I'm shooting for around 200hp with mine so I'm planning on about 36# injectors. Most likely Bosch brown tops.
  15. Just be aware that if you order drop brackets from rocky road it may take awhile to get them. Its not unheard of to wait more then a month to get parts from them.
  16. It will be interesting to see how it all works out,I haven't decided yet how I'm gonna do the fuel management when I turbo mine. First I was thinking of modding 91+ mpfi then I thought about megasquirt, but then I got to thinking I have a Ford SVO set up that I built for another project but didn't use so I may go hybrid. Where are you gonna get pistons? I don't know of any aftermarket and a custom set runs around $500 Unless someone did an AX15 conversion that 2.5L has an AX5 hooked to it so you might look into an upgrade,I'm in the middle of gathering parts for my AX15 conversion.
  17. That is not true,I'm over 6" and don't have long arms
  18. http://montgomery.craigslist.org/pts/2297881956.html
  19. Those arms are half of a stock Ford radius arm with square tube welded to it and a bushing. I would imagine the truck probably flexed better stock.
  20. I think your crossmember and arms is exactly what he was talking about, that's a sketchy looking home made lift.
  21. You can also try cutting the cam in half making it a twin cam
  22. I think they would look a little small,IMO 31x10.50s are perfect for a 3"
  23. Usually you would add the mounts to an older style axle.
  24. Do you have enough gearing to turn 37s?
