  1. I gave $250 for mine but you could probably get almost twice that if you set it up for an XJ
  2. With a good spring compressor it only takes a few minutes to swap springs, why not put them on and see what you think.
  3. Keep in mind that D44 shafts are different lengths from side to side, the passenger side is longer but in a pinch a driver side shaft will fit the passenger side. Also TJ D44 shafts will fit the MJ/XJ D44 and are usually easier to find.
  4. Took it for a drive around my yard to see how everything is working, other then the deing PS pump I think its ready for my trip this weekend.
  5. Built and installed some quick disconnect mud flaps so I can be all legal like on the road.
  6. I deleted mine,if its still laying around the shop you can have it.

    suzuki samurai

    Looks like a good start.
  8. You don't have much experience with that troublesome piece of crap do you? Wait till it starts acting up or you get an air bubble stuck in it. You will find that they are usually bypassed on most of the trucks that came with them not just MJs,unless a rig is stock I reccomend removing it.once you go to larger tires you will want the extra braking power all the time. And no it won't make your truck spin out or slide. Most people remove the rod and lock the lever where they want it but the best way to get rid if it is to remove the prop valve and replace with one from an XJ then you can remove the load sensing valve and abandon the extra brake line that goes to it.
  9. Just take some tools, pop the cover and inspect it. At the same time you can verify that it has 4.10s.

    Elbe 10/6

I will be at Elbe on the 6th if anyone wants to come out.
  11. Took the MJ down a trail on my back 40 tonight, the thing is a beast now. Also tried out the LED back up lights, they are super bright. I was gonna add some rear work lights but now I don't think I need them.
  12. A guy at work had a 258 with a 4.0l head and a carb in an eagle. He said it was fairly simple to put together. Its too bad he just sold the engine to swap in a v8,it was pretty heavily modded and had almost no miles.
  13. You can adapt the 3.4l to an AX15 so a stronger transmission isn't an issue. I've seen XJ based rock race buggies running the 3.4l IMO converting to a carbed 4.0L is waste of time, for what is involed you would be way ahead just swapping in a v8.
  14. I've done business with RRO and PORC wth no issues. Only complaint I have with RRO is the amount of time it takes to get stuff shipped.
  15. I ran their 5" lift, the main thing I didn't like was that they don't use full length coil springs instead they give you a 3" coil and pucks to put on top of them. Another thing to watch with them is their marketing, the kits they sell are very incomplete to make them seem less expensive then thier competitors. The kit will have just enough to lift your truck but it won't work very well till you buy the missing pieces. As for the CAD system I built my own but they are similiar to the RRO ones. The truck rides great and has a ton of flex.
  16. Got pics?
  17. I have a D44 with D30 disc brakes,I used a later XJ dual diaphram booster and prop valve.
  18. The sponsor and location has changed.

    Strange Hate.

What exactly is better about a Cherokee? I own both and my MJ is built quite a bit stouter then my XJ.
