Another option is to use the later xj sockets I'm not sure of years,maybe 91+. They are metal and are sealed much better,they should last a lot longer.

There were about 150 rigs there,most of the pics that were posted were just of the naxja group.

Droid is the way to go.I have the new samsung epic and my wife has the htc evo. Both are great but I definitly like the epic better.

mine measure slightly longer then stock,they are angle cut and fish plated to give them a bend.

i got some new tow hooks and they will go where the factory ones go on the front bumper. y no hooks? and y are straps so much better then cable? I wouldnt rely on anything hooked to the front bumper mounts.

don't know about the wrapping it and baking it but RROD isnt that hard to fix. I watched a few you tube videos then came up with my own RROD fix.

I had a KZ440 for a while,it wasnt fast but it was a decent bike to cruise around on.

It should drive fine, i have 3" coils on my XJ with stock arms and it drives fine. I ran my MJ for a while at 5"+ on stock arms with no problems I also just got a set of boxed aftermarket upper/lower arms for the XJ,not sure on the brand but they look fairly old.

I had the issue on my XJ with a new aftermarket bottle and cap. I ended up wrapping the bottles threads with pipe tape to help it seal till i could get an OEM bottle and cap. i had a neighbor go through it too but he just put a hose clamp around his cap and left it that way.

Ive seen alot of wrecking yards do this as well,good use for a junk tire

I had to repaint some lift trucks from a galvanizing company. they were covered in it,all i can say is i hope you really like it because once its on there good luck getting it off.

I went through this on my XJ,Unless you can get ahold of it save some trouble and just pull the head. a head gasket on a 4.0L is pretty easy.

In my opinion there isnt really a best "kit". the best way is to do your home work and learn about your jeep then build your own kit tailored to suit you. I would also recommend doing as much of your own work as you can. I started with an RRO kit but it changes as my jeep evolves,when i bought the RRO kit i knew little about jeeps but now i am building most of my own parts. I liked the RRO kit because it had just enough parts to lift the truck leaving my options open to modify things as i went making it a good starting point for me.

Honestly I didnt measure castor, I put the kit on and it worked fine. i bought it with the intentions of getting adj arms and doing the rest then stuff happened and i wasnt able to do it for over a year. My point isnt that its right, my point is that it worked. my XJ is currently at 3" with nothing more then springs and blocks and other then some axle wrap it works fine,and a coworker ran his ZJ at 5" for about a year on stock arms with no issues. I just havent ran into the problems people talk about.

So by won't work your telling me that my truck didnt get me back in forth to work everyday for over a year? :hmm: If you put on the RRO lift and nothing else your truck will drive down the road. the kit will work right out of the box but it will work better with more parts,all of which RRO also sells or you could do what i did and source the rest elsewhere. I'm not saying the RRO lift is that great but its better then its given credit for. IMO if you took the basic kit and added the optional stuff you would have a decent lift.

It didnt sag at all. up front they use OME (Old man emu) springs which are one of the best spring companies. in the back you use your existing leaf springs. Only thing i didnt like was the front springs are 3" lift coils with 2" spacers,thats why i went to the RC 6.5" springs. the OME springs did ride better though. Also with any lift you buy make sure you get shocks as yours will be way too short,I got the rocky road long travel shocks when i ordered the lift and they work well
