I got asked about one of these. Sounds like its got nice paint and body. The rig runs, but needs head gaskets. I personally have not seen the rig. Any idea of what this thing might be worth. around 210k miles.
must be a bone stocker. my 2000 xj with stock gears, 31s, all the plastic junk off, when its 30 above or less, i get 10mpg.
Yes 20mpg seems to be the common mpg reading for a stock L6 XJ.
Lol! I bought some 35 in mtr/k for the xj. Got a 18 volt cordless drill and some jeep t shirts from all things jeep. Sister bought me the one with the mj and ma got the one with the xj without no previous communication on the subject! Thought it was pretty cool.
Got the 35s on he xj today with the Black Rock wheels. Looks great i think. No rubbing but i do need to level the jeep out i see. Really shows up in the pictures:
Good to hear bud. Maybe the guy doing the welding can give you a little hood time. Very rewarding to finally make something for yourself someday! I understand not having the place to work on things. Drives me freekin nuts. I live on a hill and have a dirt driveway about as long as my 01 Dodge Reg Cab lol
We got about 15-20 in on the ground. The state snowmobile trails are groomed. Just started driving pickups out on the lake to put fish houses out this week over 10-12 inches of ice. Think winter is here.
You would do better to explain how you are better than to get jumpy. They're just pointing out how it's an odd coincidence with the names.
If you can prove the quality with pictures of your product or other installs, I'm sure you would have a bunch of sales on this website for full kits.

I just bought a driveside mirror for my 2000 XJ off ebay. JUNK. The thing flops in the wind while you are driving down the road and you can tell it was made cheap. Find some in a JY near you.
IMO it all depends where and how you drive. City driving you will most likely be fine. I wouldn't wind it up to 80 on the inter state but I would drive in town. Don't haul nothing too heavy.
Ended up going with some Black Rock Wheels. Quadratec had the best price shipped for these:

Got 15X8s with 3 3/4 BS.
