  1. People have swapped the engine from a camero before. I believe its the 3.4 V6. Seems to be the most common swap to get rid of that POS 2.8. By all means do not attempt a 4.0 swap. Its just not worth it.
  2. yea holy man thats what I was thinkin :rotf: nice photos, where did ya go?
  3. I personally have had great luck with state farm insurance. All of my incedents where taken care of in a very quick manner. I usually had my check from them in less then a week. Now i must say I have never had any issues with a mj tho. My issues have been with a 97 xj and a 01 dodge CTD vs a honda accord. Lol
  4. have you tried it? :rotfl2:
  5. depends on the insurance company also.
  6. TTOP. If you where not so far away I would probably sell mine..
  7. Does someone have a good picture of what a factory MJ rollbar looks like? I have a shortbox one, and might have a line on one for long bed but i don't know if they are mj specific.
  8. Someone that has done this should take some pics and show where the cuts where made. I have been wanting to do this to my xj and I will have my long bed mj that will need this done also
  9. Longer control arms, coils, shocks, brake lines.... Everything in front for a 5.5 lift i do believe.
  10. How do these mount to the uniframe? They mount up like a aftermarket bumper kind of sort?
  11. Whats is called? Brand name, I have never seen one before.
  12. IMO, I have said it once and ill say it again, I think someone just getting into wheeling should learn how "drive" offroad before they even think about lockers. You will learn so much more about what your rig capable of. (and the lather) I didn't have a locked diff for the last 6 years. I wheeled, 3.5 inches of lift and 31s. It got to be where i could chase TJs around locked on 35s with my little XJ. Everyone thought I had lockers buts nope.. not in that rig. This applies to rocks and trail running to me anyway. Mud-who cares, not much skill involved there.
  13. I have an 88 2wd SWB 4.0 MJ. Spent most of its life in Cheyanne, Wyoming.
  14. If you do this you actually sit higher in the truck then you would with factory mj seats and bracketry right?
  15. I use amsoil in everything BUT my AW4s. Or any Chrysler trans.
  16. Pull off the cover over your wiper motor and clean out the drain holes in there.
  17. Oregon plates... From looking at it, some would wonder if it could make it to Utah under its own power? I would have no doubt. In my midwestern eyes, that thing is mint. Rob L. My thoughts exactly
  18. 4bt swaps have become extremely popular in the last couple years. the swap is not that cheap anmore.
  19. they are just like the 4.0 with 2 cylinders knocked off IMO for reliablity.
  20. specially on a 2wd. get some coil spacers for 99 bucks and level er out
  21. a dana 35 with 33s will be fine on a rig that is just drove on the street. but i do agree, finding a 8.25 would be your best bet. Make sure the jeep isn't regeared before you start swaping.
  22. okay thanks pete I just figured it out. Had to type in comancheclub.com/forums/ to get to the forums. The forum icon does not show up on the main page for some reason.
