Smithe1811's Project Mjolnir
Automan2164 replied to smithe1811's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Yeah, Sorry, I thought it was off road service. I gotcha. Still, nice truck to be outfitted like that... Rob L. -
:hmm: So who is it? Rob L.

And the Part-time NP231 is "Command-Trac". Rob L.

And it continues: :ack: "ZJ old enough to be put in a museum." F-er. Nicer than my ZJ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjBilHH5 ... re=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PuYzqYD5tzU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiYQGHHFscM I sent a nasty message to the "Steve White VW" How to kill a clunker. I just can't take this laying down. Lets just say, I hope there isn't a language filter on their incoming emails. ;) I will put the flag in my yard at half mast until I feel better about all of these deaths. I am sure there are A LOT of lower-middle class people who would love these WJ's/ZJ's/XJ's... I I I I I :USAflag: I I I I Rob L.

Sounds like the people who worked on your dads XJ gave him a lot of the "91 only" BS. Rob L.
-
Yeah, I suppose. I am kind of hung up on the engine thing right now, but I am 80% sure I want the HO, just dreading the work ahead. That, and I REALLY need to sell some junk. :ack: Rob L. :dunno:

X2. Us GreatLakers need another outlet. Were lighting up the subforum... Great Scot! Rob L.
-
Sweet, looks like we have it all down. Maybe with the trickle of b-day money coming in, and a side job, I can trickle some of the cash your way correy... HO sounds nice... :brows: Might still bring the trailer JIC I see something on the XJ I'd want, but maybe not. *** Rob L. ***To self: God I am an indecisive bastard. :dunno:

:agree: Its best, easiest, and cheapest, to find a complete donor of somesort, be it comanche (factory designated MJ) or cherokee (likewise, XJ). If you find the stuff, its really straight forward and simple. Plus, you have a 4x4 version to copy, one piece at a time. Rob L.

If you are going to be up and about that early, maybe I'll try to make it a little earlier. Rob L.

+ 1 interest. Rob L.

I know. Somewhere, a fiddle is playing me a tune... :( Rob L. :D

Hi Dawsonkid! Welcome to the group and the addiction. Just noticed the v6 in your post. Our Jeeps come with an "inline" 6 (or I-6) cylinder, where the pistons are in a row from front to back, unlike a "v" engine which are arranged on opposing sides in some angle of a "v"... Its a common misconception for someone to think, so no worries mate! Just trying to keep ya on track. Common 4.3L GM "V-6" Our "I-6" Rob L.

Not sure yet... I have no cash. I was on the fence here, and was going to talk to ya about it. xtrm4jp has a renix 4.0 that he's selling, and it would go right in, but i would like the high output though. His is a new longblock, with papers, and 50K miles, and yours is a rebuilt with papers and 50K miles, his is a renix which has better mileage, yours is a high output which has better power, his goes right in, yours needs a harness but I gain power windows and keyless, his, yours, his yours... :wall: :fs1: :headpop: :hmm: :dunno: :???: :grrrr:  :fs2: Either way I don't have money. Trailer is more so for the cut outs of the fenders. Rob L. :(
-
I'll shoot for around noon-ish. I'll be by myself, with trailer most likely. Rob L.

:wall: :wall: :wall: i couldn't even watch the whole thing, the video is over 2 mins long. Makes me sick. Whys hould we destroy perfectly good vehicles? That jeep wasn't even rusty. I kinda want to cry. :( Rob L.

Its not that the dealers lost so much, its that it went over so well, and they are so backlogged, they think that they might have over shot the budget already once all cars are taken in. CARS is done as of midnight tonight. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_cash_for_clunkers;_ylt=Aq1fH3OCicC4d.WiNjrY2vOs0NUE;_ylu=X3oDMTM2azcwdmtqBGFzc2V0A2FwLzIwMDkwNzMxL3VzX2Nhc2hfZm9yX2NsdW5rZXJzBGNwb3MDNARwb3MDMQRwdANob21lX2Nva2UEc2VjA3luX2hlYWRsaW5lX2xpc3QEc2xrA3NvdXJjZXNnb3Z0dA-- Rob L.

Jeepcomj might have one, try posting a wanted ad in the classifieds. I know that besides the better flow, the plastic also doesn't transmit heat like a cast one, lowering intake air temps... Rob L.

You have to look at Wade's real close, it isn't the mud/water he's stuck in, its the 3 foot of bed resting on the culvert. Rob L.
-
Yeah, I was COMPLETELY unaware of the need of a spreader until after I hammered the carrier, bearing, and race assy into the housing... Talk about a PITA. Everything came out good, but I am just hoping I never have to do it again. Yep 4.0L, tires are all the same size and of similar condition. I need to find a NP231. Ok, along the same lines, what kind of fluid SHOULD I be running in the alxes for the best life? Rob L.
-
I figured that the drop brackets would be necessary. Rob L.
-
Yep, flows better than the cast ones. (made of plastic)... Rob L.
-
Hey Tom, thanks... Pete must have moved this into the limelight here. I had it in the local section, but Pete must have thought it would be better out yonder. Also, I was unaware that with adjustable control arms a drop wasn't needed. Is this correct? It wouldn't be too harsh of an angle? Rob L.

Every race has their slang for "worthless people". No offense taken here. My race just happens to have "White trash" and "Rednecks"... ;) I guess the best question to ask is, is your daughter happy? :dunno: Rob L.
