Yeah. To be honest, as we've talked about in PM's, I think your truck is one of the nicest here. If it was in my ownership, I think the only change would be the 4x4 convert. But up here, its more of a necessity. Not saying that thing would ever see snow. Well, who am I kidding. If I had your truck I don't even think I would let it see rain. On second thought, I really wouldn't ever want a truck that clean to be in a spot where 4x4 was necessary, so... Its fine just the way it is. Rob L.

Not much is really known about them. Back in the days of the yahoo group, there were 1 or 2 of them in the mix with us. From what I understand, they were modified by the dealer, and produced in a limited number. I think it was 100 of them made. Plated on the dash with a production number. I have a picture of no. 24 in my spotters guide on my old site... http://www.comanchemj.1hwy.com Rob L.

That's cause you live over there with the rich folks.... Rich folks?!?! I live in Harvard, IL!!! Our town is based around a plastic cow... :D I think we are the sharp drop-off from chicago to the country. Past us (towards y'all in Rockford) things only get worse... ;) Money is a distant memory in this town. Rob L.

I just love those style Eliminator decals. Rob L.

I'm not talking about the tightness of the rotor/hub. I am talking about the through pin, that holds the castle nut from turning possibly being loose inside the cap... I was just asking if maybe that was loose. Could cause a small rattle if it was loose I suppose. Just thinking outside the box for 'ya. Rob L.

If only you were closer, AND the truck wasn't from up Nawth, I'd be really interested. LWB HO Eliminators are very rare animals. :D X2 on the rarity. Thats the only one I have seen. Rob L.

aftermarket exhaust setups?
Automan2164 replied to dancome433's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
For every 90* of angle in the exhaust, I was taught that that is the equivalent of adding another 7 FEET of pipe in relation to exhaust back pressure and turbulence. Food for thought. Rob L. -
grand cherokee coils
Automan2164 replied to xComancheKidx's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
GC V8 coils are same part number as XJ up-country coils. Up country XJ's are usually 1 inch taller. If that helps paint a picture... Rob L. -

Hey all, just placing an order for some boxes and stickers... Didn't know how many people knew about this but... http://shop.usps.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductCategoryDisplay?beginIndex=0&pageSize=10000&langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10152&categoryId=13354 Its the USPS website. 8 inches of lift in the rear?
Automan2164 replied to jwdvy4's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Our trucks usually have a long enough wheelbase that its not necessary, especially with a longbed, but if you want the added strength, go for it. Rob L. -
You guys should see the factory plow mounts.... They are actually 3/8"-1/4" Steel, and go all the way past the sway bar. They tie the factory bumper holes into a solid piece of flat stock. I was contemplating re-making mine(they are bent) and then in the summer, I could leave the brackets on, take off the plow stuff and just bolt on a beefy front bumper... Would anyone be interested in a picture of the plow brackets? I have them off and sitting around now... Rob L.

8 inches of lift in the rear?
Automan2164 replied to jwdvy4's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Personally, add-a-leafs add too much stress on the pack. Your asking ONE leaf to lift the entire truck 2" inches, and force the rest of the pack with it. I would look for a set of metric-ton comanche leaf packs, which I think sit about 2" taller than stock. I think someone on here was just selling a set not that long ago. I think you can also find them on ebay brand-new. That way, you can get the spring over, and a new set of leaf packs :brows: , and get the right amount of lift. Rob L. -
Holy full cluster and column shift! Talk about a unicorn... :D Rob L. Looks good man! thanks for the compliment, just to clarify, it wasn't a unicorn to start. it was an idiot cluster, got a full cluster from pat, and then i cut out the tach, and installed the indicator from the old cluster. come to think of it, every part i've put on this thing has come from pat....weird :hmm: Not that weird. When you have a barn FULL of XJ/MJ parts, your bound to help a few people out. ;) Rob L.
