  1. How did you lift it? Rob L.
  2. I do want. But I would want to see them on something first. Should I be ashamed? Rob L.
  3. Very cool. I was contemplating the RE lift, but am still on the fence because of my Factory plow I want to run... Rob L.
  4. Can you go find out the VIN for me? Rob L.
  5. Nice. Whats the total gain on the lift over stock? Rob L.
  6. Outlined White Letter. Turn those black walls in man! Bring the white letters back! Rob L.
  7. O.W.L. FTW! Rob L.
  8. Great point. The harness plug for 96-down XJs and all MJs radios does not include a ground line. The only grounds the radio has are that bolt-on quick disconnect tab ground cable and the shield on the antenna coax. I don't know if a 97-up XJ has a different radio harness pinout but it might. This explains a TON. I have an aftermarket antenna on the truck installed by the PO. Lightly put, it is a hack. I hate those universal parts that the auto stores sell that you have to improvise to make work. I know that my ground through the antenna is shakey at best. I think I''ll try to get a factory antenna for my radio and see what that does to these problems. Just try grounding the radio case with a jumper first... If that works, it's all you will need to do. Rob L.
  9. Umm, I am not sure I would be OK with "The other one had nothing visibly wrong" approach to trust my butt in that car... Anyway, as with any brake job, you should mirror sides when replacing. The first one failed without warning, what makes you think the other one you got in at the same time will be ok? Rob L. :dunno:
  10. But the 20 has more of a 8) factor. Rob L. :D
  11. It never ceases to amaze me how much more room there is under the hood of a 2.5L. Add 2 more cyls, and things become shoe-horn tight. Rob L.
  12. As for the radio, the Metric Ton had an abortion of an old Pioneer in it when I bought it. Wind, bumps, or anything like that, and it would cut out, loose all the presets, and start back at 87.9. After about a week, I pulled the radio, and noticed that without the antenna in, it wouldn't work at all. Turns out, the only ground the radio was getting was through the antenna mast, which was caulked in. After running a separate ground to the radio case, I was good as new. Rob L.
  13. Crank position sensor. Rob L.
  14. Welp, I work in a sea of crappy GM-ness, so I asked my boss who has been working here for 30 years about the 6.5's. (We only have 2 left, but used to have a ton). He said to check the air and fuel filters, and check the lift pump. Lift pump is on the frame rail, and looks like a in line filter. Check it for flow by pulling the filter on top, and cycling the key to see if the lift pump is filling it up before and after the problem occurs. Also, he said the fuel pedals are drive by wire, and to check that, as well as FULL battery voltage from both batteries. I hate to say it, but based on your symptoms, he said injection pump. Rob L.
  15. NO!!!! No waggy front end! Don, if it isn't broke, don't fix it! Its not broke! Its perfection! Rob L.
  16. As a fan of food, I have to say I like MVF, just because I have done the occasional 42 oz steak challenge, or big burrito, and its mouthwatering sometimes. Darn it, now I am hungry. Rob L.
  17. PM sent! Rob L.
  18. That "operation repo" is the worst scripted junk on TV right now. Rob L. :ack:
  19. Did you check the emissions tag under the hood? That would tell you what it originally had. Rob L.
  20. Technically he can't. He owns the Pontiac, she owns the MJ. Rob L. ;)
  21. Interesting... 159 bucks for a side skirt? Doesn't seem too bad. Rob L. :dunno:
  22. Why would someone swap a 4.3L in? Do you know what it had originally? You said 4.0L back in, but its hard to believe someone would forego a 4.0L for a GM turd. Rob L.
  23. All I KNOW is that they are junk. Best of luck. Rob L. :rotfl2:
  24. It DID have the 249.... what happened with the swap???? Motivation my dear friend, motivation. Rob L.
