  4. Found Jake's: Rob L.
  5. There is a way to balance the rims so all the weights are on the inner lip. Or, you could put sticky weights on the inside of the rim surface. Thats what I did on my black steels after I got them painted. Didn't want to take the risk of having to get them done again. Non-scratching sticky weights it is. Rob L.
  6. The one on the left is sexy. Rob L. :brows:
  7. An AX5 won't even bolt up behind a 4.0L. Based on what you said, if its untouched, its a BA10/5. If someone replaced it, most likely its an AX15. Rob L.
  8. The universal MJ bench seat cover. Rob L.
  9. Wow. Good eyes. When he said "antenna" I was looking up top, not at the bed rails. Rob L.
  10. Those are the light tabs. Factory put them on. If, we are in the same boat here. Rob L.
  11. Sweet. You get the front pinion seal ordered also? Rob L.
  12. You make me PUKE!! Glad I asked your opinion on my opinion. But the question is, do I care? :dunno: No. Rob L.
  13. You keep referring to it "off the chassis"... You do know that the frame and the body are one piece on the Comanche, right? Rob L. :dunno:
  14. IIRC, Jakeman17 had his avatar car-ified and it looked great, mouth and everything... Wonder if he still has the pic... Looks good! Rob L.
  15. Yota's are usually pretty tiny... Best way to find out would be to drive over to his place with an MJ, and dry fit it. I bet it will be too small though. Rob L.
  16. 2wd jeeps yes, 2wd wrangler no. when this has come up before someone tried to convince me of a 2wd yj being built for govt somethin or other, to my limited knowledge, there has been no 2wd wrangler untill the jk. its not a market to avoid, and i never said all jeeps should be rubicons, for repetition sake i won't repeat my previous statements about what they've done. 2WD YJ's do exist. Seen one with my own eyeballs. Rob L.
  17. Just a thought here, but I think it would be cool if jeep came out with a WRX like car. Why all these weird crossovers? Just make one B-A AWD sedan. I think that would be OK in my book. Rob L. :dunno:
  18. If you go and see it, look at the drivers door sticker, or the serial number (last 6 digits of VIN) Rob L.
  19. Brake cleaner is usually safer and less caustic than carb and choke cleaner. It doesn't harm paint and plastics (most of them) For now anyway... The EPA is lowering the VOC limits on the brake clean, and the new stuff is said to be 55% acetone (EPA allows that  )... So much for a quick spray to wipe down a fender... You'll end up with paint on the rag. Rob L.
  20. No pipe... I think that torque wrench might be as old as I am though, or at least half as old. Rob L.
  21. Why is not the question. Why not seems to be more fitting of your personality there Jim. Best of luck to you with the swap, keep us posted. Rob L.
  22. I am not too worried about replacing it. I know he will warranty it, and if not, oh well. They city supplies all of my tools in the Mechanics Dept, so it won't be coming out of my pocket. :D Rob L.
  23. The torque wrench was a MAC TOOLS wrench, 1/2" drive, I think the max on that one is 250-300ft lbs. As for the chipper, its a Vermeer SC140 I think. Has a 4 cylinder turbo diesel CAT and can take up to a 14" diameter log. Rob L.
  24. Agreed. And really? I mean, you had to test on a NIB Dak light? That would be like the Dak guys trying to make tails and cutting up a NIB MJ light. Should have started with a used one. Rob L. :dunno:
  25. Wow. I guess a few of us need to stop griping about not having a garage. Good work man, keep it up. Rob L.
